Elena of Catch A Cat. Almost two Years after the Release finally played (through). Elena is an interactive Story or a little Adventure. One experiences the Story of a young Couple. As you move through The magnificent Ikeamöbel Display by teleportation And examine the Objects, you will learn more and more about the Two. Quickly, The cosy Dwelling becomes a myst-rible Crime Thriller with a surprising Ending. The Story is backed up by a very atmospheric Music, which increases the slightly mullish Feeling that you inevitably get when you follow the Story. Particularly noteworthy is the German Language edition. The Speakers listen professionally, even though the Program is a University Project. Unfortunately, the Game suffers from a rather moderate Collision Query And Objects often glider through Furniture. You can just reach into lodging Cabinets or look in through the Door. Also, the Operation of the Items and The Start of the hurry Game is a bit cumbersome at all. I'm teleported until I finally interact with something that triggers the Story. An Explanation of the Display board in The Hallway would also have been helpful. It was possible to derive everything from us, but a small Introduction would certainly have been helpful. Unfortunately, the Graphics are also a bit fuzzy on the Distance and still look blurry even on Ultra. The good Story and Atmosphere of the Game, however, make up for that by Lengths. Due to the Age of the Game, however, this will no longer be fixed, I suppose. However, you can still recommend Elena in 2018 making this little adventure still Fun and belongs to one of the better Short Games. For just under 3.30 Euros you can strike quietly. "Elena" is a First-person exploration game. We are in our Apartment. We are a female Being with a slope to stylistically more questionable, tilting Into cheesy painting. Our Partner is in the Bathroom. Let's At least think. But then strange, inexplicable Things happen. We try to understand, to combine, to understand what is actually happening. Much more should not be revealed, because at its core It is about Experiencing linear history. Within these we can look at abundant Objects, sometimes our Character gives his Mustard, but many things are just Filler Work. The Game comes from German Countries, is playable in German and English and is from the Stuttgart University of Media. And you can see that, too. In Both the Positive and The Negative. Because in itself, the Approaches of the approximately One-hour Exploration Game are quite solid, many things are well-founded and the Basic Atmosphere has grown up realistically in large Parts. But dramaturgically and scripttechnically, it is a difficult Student project. Such a Quality is known for ambitious Short film Projects of all Universities in the Republic. Somehow a nice Idea, but not mature, not ending, too casual told. Nor is The Narrative Pace Right at all. It is precisely the End that stumbles into a solution that has long since been imagined, but then not really played to The End. The not unprofessional, but not well-staged speakers are not helpful. There is a lack of experienced Directing, good Scripted Weaving and, above all, Skillful Dramturgy. That sounds like Total Failure now, but it's not at all. A lot of Things are right, a lot is developed in the right direction, the Unity graphics can often convince, the sounds are mostly good and just the adult Mood of the Game situation is really refreshing with all the mass Dossing Nowadays. If the Approaches convince in this way, though, it annoys me all the more if it hasn't been translated into a truly compelling Narrative. Still, the Game is definitely recommended. It's just like a student Work, highly interesting, rethought, quite exciting, but still far from a Masterpiece.
