The Story is about the Protagonist Lachesis, who is shot down by enemies during a Flight with her Flight Ship and lays down a Crash landing in a Desert. In doing so, she loses her Memory and is looking for a Key To access her stored Memory Data. She is Accompanied by Alfa from a flying Metal Ball. The Story is very generic with the typical "Hero loses Memory" scheme and is also very confusing told. So She's not the Strength of the Game. Gameplay As Attacks, you have a melee and a Ranged Attack. Both make sense to combine, as some Opponents get more Damage from either type of attack. In addition, you have 4 Skill Slots. These can be filled with Skilltree skills at will. The Skilltree is very large and spreads into three Areas. Per Level you get one Point with which you can unlock more Abilities. There are active, passive and Attack Skills. Active go into the Slots, Passives are active in the Background and Attack abilities are triggered by a specific Shortcut. There are Also equipment that can be used to increase the Values of Lachesis. There are a lot of Items that you can get from Opponents or Boxes. These Items can still be upgraded. However, this does not require a certain Amount of Items for the Upgrade, but you can choose from a List with which you want to improve the Item. So you don't have to go back to previous Areas to collect Material. Opponents all look different and have all different Attack Patterns. So Each Enemy Type has to be defeated in a different Way. Towards the End of the Game, however, these Are recycled and you can see opponents from the Beginning again. Boss Fights are a Highlight of the Game. Some of them are very heavy, but are easily feasible through Practice. However, there is the Problem here that some Bosses have inevitable Attacks and you have to be Harmed. Furthermore, Bosses can leave the Arena for a Short time and can no longer be reached with the Melee. Graphic The Graphics look good and the Animations are fluid. Only the Walljump Animation looks very strange. The post-apocalyptic Setting comes across very well. Opponents also differ significantly from each other in appearance and you can see directly what Type they are by their Appearance. There are very few graphic Options. This allows only the Resolution, the general Graphics quality and Motion Blur To be adjusted. There is no More. It lacks an Option for Antialiasing Because the Game has stair effects as a Result. Conclusion Evil Genome is a good Action RPG, but it has a few Flaws. It is still worth playing the Game, maybe not 100%, but a normal Play through Is Fun. However, the Amount Of Metroidvania is very small. But you should have a little more Practice in Side-scrolling Action Games, because the Level Of difficulty is very high, especially towards the End, and already at the simple Level.
