F1 2012 reviews and comments

I had no Expectation whatsoever when I bought the Game from one of the last Steam Sales. I Used to love the Microprose Formula 1 Games and somehow gabs felt the last 15 Years no longer a reasonable Formula 1 Game for the PC. What shall I say? Codemasters ' Formula One Series is more than just a worthy Successor to the old Games. The Graphics are good, though apparently not quite at the Level of Grid 2 or Dirt 3. But this hardly stands out in the Races, because you are busy driving. The Controls are catchy and you get used to the Idiosyncrasies of a Formula 1 Racer quite quickly. The AI is demanding but not invincible and the dynamic Weather has sometimes succeeded really well. It's Only when you drive the Keyboard that you make it unnecessarily hard for yourself. A Controller is recommended, but not a Must. The only Mini Criticism is the Criminal System. Any Celebrity with the Opponent, even through no fault of his own, leads to the Player being punished. If Accidents are indebted by the Player, no Question about it, then you should also get a Penalty as in the real Formula One. But the other Drivers can drive one funny into the Rear, push one off or ram it and the Player is still penalised for it. The AI Drivers, on the other hand, do not. And depending on the level of Difficulty chosen, the AI drives very outgoing ... In Short, I didn't expect anything, but I was pleasantly surprised except for one point of Criticism. 8 out of 10 Points I would award.

Actually a good Game, but there are Situtations, I just want to see this Game stew in Hell. The Career Races are way too long (Minimum Length), I have to do other things from time to time, and no Time to spend on running a Race. As in previous Games, I would like to have the Option to reduce the possibility in case of an Emergency to 3 Rounds. Then you should also give more Flashbacks (almost another Life if you have an Accident). Here I often get to the Point where I would spoden the Game if I had the CD. :D It happens very often with the (normal) AI that I get rammed or turned into Corners (!), with other Drivers suddenly pulling back into the Bend even though they let me pass before. Often I get the Punishment (!), although I am clearly not To blame for the Accident. You can start the Race all over again ... No matter how hard you try, there is always an AI Driver who thinks he has to disrespect the blue Flag. This is a Problem, especially in Higher Levels of difficulty. On easily you can also win if you still think you have to have a Stroke during the Race. However, I looked around the Internet a bit and found Mods. Car updates, track updates, AI patches, and and and ... I have downloaded a complete Update directly, and now play virtually F1 2013! The Graphics are now simply the Hammer, the Driving Sensation is greatly improved by additional Cameras (Camera moves to The back when accelerating than when pressed into the Seat) and drivers are now up-to-date, too. Without Mods only conditionally good, but with Mods just the Madness!
