Fly and Destroy

"Fly and Destroy" is a small 2D casualized evasion and Collection game. The Playing field is about 1.5 Screens horizontally and vertically large. We are a blue Bundle of Energy and need to collect a certain Number of yellow Bundles of energy To create one of the twenty levels. The required Number increases from Level to Level. Asteroids That fall from top to bottom in different Sizes and Speeds get in our way. Later, there are steering Rockets that are Periodically released on us. We can "Compete" by collecting Short-term Power-ups that, for Example, stop us time or briefly make us invulnerable. And, of course, we can and should dodge. Between levels can shorten us even then Levels, Cooldowns of Skills such as Laying Mines about. The System comes across amazingly grindig and the Improvement Steps have quite marginal Effects. The Gameplay works. The Control (also with Controller) is direct, the Level of difficulty can be adjusted. The Graphics are quite nice without really convincing. Sounds and Music are apt. All in all, "Fly and Destroy" does little really wrong, can entertain even for a manageable Period of time. However, the Game principle is then too simple and the hardly any changes in the Levels offer too little Variety. That's why it's only recommended as a Short-term Bridgeter.
