About

Gods Will Be Watching is a point-and-click survival thriller. Deconstructeam have developed it, and it is the only title within the IP. The game was incipiently created within the Ludum Dare development competition, the theme of which was minimalism. That gradually affected the style of a final game build.
The story centers around the group of survivors questioned with a quest to survive during the 40 days being cut off from the outside world. The game's core feature is the variety of moral decision — the player decides who is worthy of sacrificing for the sake of the group's survival.
The gameplay features walking and talking with the other characters — six in total — while a heavy accent is made on time- and resource management. The game's name derives from the absence of right and wrong decisions: not only the survival of the team is a task at hand but the survival of an outside world from genocide.

Gods Will Be Watching reviews and comments

This game was so unique and hit really hard at times for me.

Very Frustrating! I played the first part of the game again and again, because I couldn't find out how to avoid that everybody gets killed. I guess I tried it around 8 times. If this is a game about decisions and choices why does the game force me to find the exact way to be able to continue with the story? I have only seen the prologue, not even more of this game, but I'm already so frustrated that I don't know if I will ever try it again. For now I'm fed up. I even played the story light modus. One time the leader was complaining there is only one hostage left, even though the other hostage was only in the breakroom. For a very patient person who doesn't question why things happen as they happen, even if the player changes his/her behaviour, and for a person who likes to replay the same stuff again and again, this game might have something valuable inside that I couldn't find. Maybe it is good, but nothing for my way of playing.

All I have to say - this game is awesome. It´s difficult but when you´re not too stupid you can handle it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>*spoiler* The fact that crewmember will come back after they died in the last mission is true - but if you read and watch carefully the "dead" crewmembers are some kind of hallucinations - they doing some weird "the thing" stuff. The "dead" crewmembers still talking with everyone - that´s- kind of weird but you would miss the story if they dont do. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>*spoiler end* The game does have a good (in my opinion very good and deep) story. A advice of mine is: play this game (the chapters) till the end even it does not look good for you and dont be afraid to let the restart button calm. It could be that you think this game has only one right way to do - but it doesnt! You could finish the chapters in many ways and everytime there are enough variables which makes it interesting. So be calm, sharp minded and have some guts. Peace out!

One Thing about this Game right in Advance: The game is difficult, especially at the highest Difficulty ' Original '. It is almost impossible to play through the first game (without spoilers) without dying at least 2-3 times in each Chapter. Nevertheless, I would recommend everyone to try it at least on Original, because it has a Point that you fail. Also, some other apparent Bugs have meaning that only opens up at the End. In itself, the Game is something I would call a "Dund-based Time Manor Game." The Game is turn-based and you have to deal with the Available Resources in the Chapters, but above all always with time. The Story is very well thought out and you can think about it well, as everything only gradually opens up. An eighth Chapter is in the Works and will be submitted as a free DLC. What it will be all About in the rough is already known, but I don't want to reveal anything here as this would only spoil the Game.
Great pixel art, very simple game mechanics, but this game really is tough.
