The player is one of the four members of the combat airship team in the alternate steampunk world. At the disposal of the player are several ships with different characteristics and weapons. Vital ship systems can be damaged and repaired, all damages affect the combat capability of the ship. You can choose who to be on the team: pilot, engineer or shooter.
In PvP mode, two teams participate, each team includes 2 to 4 ships. The purpose of the game varies, but, as a rule, it is the destruction of the ships of the enemy team or capture of control points.
In PvE mode, all players are combined into one team, which can include from 1 to 4 ships. Own unique PvE modes include defence of the base, destruction of enemy bases, interception of enemy ships, battles with boss ships and others.
In addition to PvE mode, there is a war scenario of six parties: players earn points to enforce their party in the process of capture or defence of territories.

Guns of Icarus Online reviews and comments

A very nice Online Game. Can I definitely recommend! The Graphics may be a bit high for the worse Graphics Cards but my GTX570 and my CURRENT GT640 make the Game very good after all. If you have a Microphone and can speak English, it is also wonderfully possible to play with foreign Players without being really disadvantaged. The Linux Version has always been incredibly bad compared to the Windows Version. Although I haven't tested the Linux version for a few Months, it always looked like it hadn't even been tested. Basic worked, but there were VERY many graphics errors, whether in THE PHP or rather within the game with shadern and so on. The game on Linux was also a lot of Fun. If someone could use a German Player, I am available, by the way, if you don't get the Game together with Friends, it seems important to me to find a few other Players.

I can really recommend this Game and encourage everyone ... Even though I only spent just under 13 Hours in this Game, I have already collected a lot of Impressions and had long Conversations with the experienced Players, as the Community is quite communicative and open. :) Short Version: Currently It is possible to carry Out Airship battles from 1v1 to 4v4. The Whole thing takes place in a Steampunksetup that includes some very lovingly crafted Maps. There are also different Types of Airships that have all Your advantages and Disadvantages. Everything from the tank, scout, sniper and Melee ship is:). The Beauty Of this is, every Ship can be customized! From the Weapons on Board to the Look. You don't have to unlock or Level weapons or ships, as everything is Available and Playable right from the Start! Soon, the Developers will be releasing Factions, faction Weapons, new Ships and The like via DLC. Also Kept constantly up-to-date I.e. updated and fixed. There are also a total Of 3 Character classes: The Engineer who repairs the Ship, buffs and when the Opportunity arises sometimes goes to the Guns. The Gunner, who can carry different Types Of Ammunition and operates the Guns. The Captain who coordinates everything, steers the Ship and consults with the other Captains in the Captain's Captaincy. Team Deathmatch, King Of the Hill or Crazy King (Not tried yet) will be tapped in the matches. Pro's:-Beautiful Graphics and cool Setup. -Very friendly, communicative and helpful Community. -Experienced Players are selected by the Dev's As Tutors--> Players help Players. -Exciting Aerial battles that require a lot of Teamplay, Coordination and Communication. -The Developers keep the Game up to Date, engage the Community and get a DLC out soon. -There is no Way to buy advantages over others (only small external Changes) Con's:-Because of the small Community, there may be a wait between 5-10 Minutes of waiting If it runs doof. -One is partly put into American Lobbies, as an average of between 200-500 Players are online. I give this Game 8/10 Stars. Like 10/10 if the Community continues to grow and the Waiting Time is dwindling as a result. (:
