Heroes of Might and Magic III is a part of Might & Magic franchise and the third installment in its series. It is one of the most popular turn-based strategies ever created.

The game takes place in the fantasy world of Enroth. The story mode follows a large-scale war for the country of Erathia. Its queen Catherine defends her homeland from invading dark forces. The game's seven campaigns allow the player to participate in this war on various sides.

AI and human players take turns, each turn representing an in-game day. Each player controls cities, heroes, and units. The default victory condition is to eliminate rival players by capturing their cities. The story mode, though, has missions with specific plot-related conditions.

There are eight types of cities. Each type has a set of units and a unique style, based on a fantasy culture such as elves, orcs, demons or the undead. Any player can conquer and control any city. A player who loses all his or her cities is eliminated.

A hero leads an army of units. Heroes explore the map, capture resources, fight enemies and neutral monsters. As they gain experience, heroes level up and obtain new skills and spells. Each hero has eight unit slots. Units of the same type stack and act as a single, stronger unit. During combat, units take turns on a hexagonal grid.

HD Edition

A new edition, released in 2015, includes slightly improved graphics redesigned for modern monitors and tablets. Otherwise, the game is identical to its original version.

Classic that knows to captivate for a long time. It's just a Pity that the Expansion of that time is not included. So no Taking Cities followed by a conversion according to the "Start line" (E.g. Undead). Nevertheless, to recommend who likes turn-based retro strategy.

I can recommend the Game to some People. It's definitely not a Game for the general Public. A turn-based Strategy game. You need a lot of Patience as a Round goes a minimum of 2 Hours. So It's not a Game for in between. But any Retro fan should try the Game. If you are looking for people to gamble, you can load me and we will be balling 1-2 rounds:)

What to say that other Reviewers haven't mentioned before? Honestly, I like the "new" presentation quite well, but that's where it stops. It's not the complete Game, just the Base-a Cash-in. If you want to have the complete Experience, you should check out the complete edition on gog.com and add an HD patch ... By the way, currently Only costs €2.99in the Sale ... Too bad, actually!

Product received for free Do Not Buy! No Expansions! No random map Generator! Compared to Heroes 3 Complete, there is so much downgrade that it hurts. IN any case, HD does not make up for this, because there is simply too much to do. That's the weak Attempt to pull players ' money out of their Pockets. Rely weak Ubi ... Is unfortunately not the first old Title of dennen that has been released "new" where the Player does not get everything the Game has to offer (te). Rather Reinstall Heroes 3 Complete. Gabs as a Side dish to The Collectors Box from Heroes VII I wouldn't buy.

Heroes of Might & Magic 3 is definitely a Milestone in Game history. I picked it up very often and intensely at the time, but in the full Version. Unfortunately, the Original Version Is much worse than the Original. It simply lacks the Extensions to this grandiose Masterpiece. The Campaigns are all down to a decent Level of Difficulty, except for the last Campaign, which was ridiculously light. Nevertheless, I liked to liberate Erathia once again. The Game has put me back into Nostalgia and was a lot of Fun for me, although unfortunately the Extensions are not there. I recommend but to buy the Complete Version on other Sites, since the Buyer has more of. Little Tip on the Addendum. If you still have your old Heroes 3, you can use the Randomizer there. Of course, it should be based on Restoration of Eratia. If you're happy with the Map, you'll save it in the Steam Directory of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 HD Edition. Now you can also play this Card on the HD Version.
