In Case of Extinction
About
My wife and I set out with a goal for this game jam of make something beautiful and testing a new process for iteratively designing and developing levels. I feel like we were pretty successful in our goals, even if gameplay, optimization, and UI suffered more I would have liked. Did we succeed? Tell us below in the comments!
Tools and Assets UsedWe used Unreal Engine4, Blender for 3d modeling, Substance Painter for texturing, Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Krita for 2D digital art, and Audacity for sound processing.
Premade assets
- We used a concrete texture from TextureHaven.com that we modified for all the concrete surfaces in the game. If you have used TextureHaven, check them out, their textures are free and high quality.
- We used Substance's Machinery smart material to texture our elevators. Everything else is a standard UE4 material or custom substance material.
- Use used the Montebello font for all text in the game.
