About

This original adventure game explores a love story between two beautiful souls through ingenious humour and a bizarre, hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation style. Our hero’s beloved has been abducted by evil spirits, and the only way to reunite them is to reincarnate himself as a dragon to defeat Evil. But something has gone wrong, and his soul is reborn as a worm named Pip. Now Pip must overcome the challenges of a surreal world, solve mind bending puzzles, and save his love. Choosing between good and evil, Pip learns the laws of Karma, and his choices define the outcome of the game.

Features:
  • Play as Pip and explore a rich, bizarre world.
  • Use Astral sight, a power that allows you to peek into the world of spirits at any point of the game.
  • Learn Karma laws through choice and action. Each evil deed spoils Pip’s karma and changes his appearance. Good deeds purify karma. Key characters respond differently to Pip’s karma, opening additional storyline.
  • Hand-drawn animations of the varied interactions of Pip with his strange environment. The environment and other characters of the quests are drawn individually for each situation.
  • Live magical award winning music and sound by ZMEIRADUGA.

Karma. Incarnation 1 reviews and comments

One of the type of games that are good for people that are very bad at video games. However, the art, the music and the whole presentation is outstanding. Its like watching an art movie but you click it instead of just watching. For 3 bucks or less, absolutely a good deal if you care about art.

The Game is very bad to control and the Story is actually already explained with the Introvideo. All In All, everything is very linear though, the Basic Idea with the good and bad Karma should stimulate Multi-play there is hardly any Agency. Many Passages are even completely irrelevant. Nice Idea but it fails because of the Implementation.

Great! More of An Experience than a Game, with psychedelic-looking Graphics. For eye (and imo ear) Connoisseurs and People who like to be amazed or Dreaming. Unsuitable For impatient and restless People, however. Nothing is explained and there is no adventurous Story either. As I said: More of an Experience than a Game. Pretty short, but for the Price ok. Clearly Recommendation

I had to consider something about whether or not to recommend the Game and ultimately decided against it. I reveal the Reasons for this later, first for The Better: Pro-the rather unique Atmosphere. That's arguably the Reason for the many good Ratings this Game has gotten. A very beautiful, psychedelic 2D graphic, lovingly designed, front in black, all characters, Monsters, etc. The Background is colorful and the "karma view" fits very well. -the Music is also very successful and coherent. Now for The Negative: Contra-the Puzzles. Example: You eat a Plant, then you get a Sting on your Back. But You have to roll it in first so that you can let the huge Hand pass and you can stab the Rhino in the Butt. This is all very abstract; Rarely does one come up With a Solution by yourself through Reflection. Mostly you kind of crawl through the Area, click on something that just popps up or moves, something happens and you're a Step further. It is mostly pure to try, but most of the Time you don't have many Options. The Puzzles aren't particularly heavy though and:-you played through the Game in 2-3 Hours. -the "Text" consists exclusively of Pictures. In itself, that's OK, you understand what the Monster wants to tell you. But something like a Story barely develops out of it. -I really couldn't see much of the touted Humour. So The Reason for my negative Review is mainly that I find the Puzzles too abstract and I find on good Luck to make something not particularly exciting. If you get the Game cheap and like Point & Click adventures, you can try it out. As I said, the Atmosphere is not bad. Special fun Fun, however, should not be expected.
