Kult of Ktulu: Olympic reviews and comments

An excellent story, a successful atmosphere, but a porting from cell phone to computer, so text small and pixelated. I played with the resolutions in the options, but there's nothing to do. On my 27" screen, it's blurry. There are also some choices (the answers to Elena) that break the mood with emoji. The game is still excellent.

So, Bravo! I was not at all used to this kind of games but I loved it. The +:-the lovecraftian scenario. -The originality of the games: these choice of answers to give to the little Elena to help her to survive and not to fall into madness. -With imagination we immerse ourselves in the universe and we attach to the aspiring investigator that we must protect. -The soundtrack pleasant and not too invasive. -The importance of the player's choices, the fact of simply taking or listening to something can make the game lose. Fortunately it is always possible to go back and change our decisions. The-:-the sound that fires during "horrific" animations is very unpleasant. -The illustrations are beautiful but rather simplistic. -The choices of dialogues are a can sometimes with answers based on Smiley or modern expression that spoil a can immersion. Basically a little honest games whatever a dear can be.

Kult of Ktulu: Olympic is a narrative adventure game that invites us to investigate alongside Elena, a 13-year-old girl, about a disappearance in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean as she travels with her family towards New York in the early 20th century. However, a threat weighs on Elena... But she's not alone! By noting in her diary what she lives, his "guardian angel" (or the player for the intimate), can then see what is going on around her. An interactive dialogue is established between it and us, and by our choices, it will influence its decisions and the outcome of the story! Are we going to take the ones that lead to his salvation? Or are we going to lead her to her loss? -------------------------------------------------The story is well written and brought me quietly to its end; I had fun finding the different purposes and reading Elena's notes. They vary according to our choices during the dialogues, and the atmosphere that emerges can change from "Oh! A beautiful little flower! "to" a giant carnivorous plant that wants to eat me! » . This change is more noticeable, I think, when approaching the end of the game. So, like Harry Potter in the Chamber of secrets, Elena owns a magical diary, but fortunately for her we're not going to be as nasty as Voldemort! In theory obviously... Moreover, by meeting the different protagonists of the story, one accesses a small record written by the hand of Elena who also benefits to make us a portrait of this person! This adds more depth to the story and is appreciable. We also have access to a section of the newspaper that shows us a map of the different places visited. I find, however, that this is unfortunately of no use other than purely narrative. This section is in the end very poor. I only found two cards... Is there more? -------------------------------------------------To summarize this is a good little narrative game of a few hours (depending on our reading speed). Click on the desired dialogue and read the rest of the story! On the other hand our dialogues are sometimes... How to say... Kids? The use of smiley or youthful terms sometimes bothered me and pulled out a bit of history. Laughing out loud. The price of the game is it... sensible. If you can have it for cheaper it's better. Replayability is limited to the different purposes. So I recommend to those who want to live a story that is inspired by the universe created by Lovecraft, even if reading his works remains better.
