Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death reviews and comments

Dumb action fun for a couple hours with copy pasted God of War gameplay and fun setpieces
Probably the most 6.5/10 game in existance. Good time!

Take DmC, mix the whole thing with Shadow Man and add to the whole Aztec Mythology, which comes out of it describes Marlow Briggs very well. In Addition, as a Side-kick, one receives the said mask of Death, which likes to sabble funny things about the Past and the World of Gods and is not too bad To make flapsy remarks, should one bless the Temporal in certain Circumstances. To the Game itself you can say that it is technically acceptable, although rather at the Level of a PS3/X360 Title in the upper Midfield of this Console generation but this is easy to get boiled up as you realize from the Beginning that it is not a Big Budget game. The art design and a few Oblique ideas still clearly set the Game apart from the Unitary Porridge of some other Titles And thus make it a welcome change in the Third Person action game Genre, which is why I can make a Recommendation in good Conscience, it is worth it Definitely. Verdict: 7.9/10

Marlow Briggs is a surprisingly well-made Clone of God of War that doesn't have to hide from the Role model. The Game is quite unknown as it went down in the Hype of GTA5 in 2013. There's a lot to it in doing so. The Characters are sympathetic, the Speakers well chosen and the Dialogues usually very funny. There are English Voiceover and German Subtitles. As in GoW, there are various Weapons, individual And Area attacks as well as various Spells that can be upgraded with collected Orbs. As in GoW, you can climb walls (also Overhead), solve Puzzles with Rotary Switches and get the Ability to glide Later in the Game. The Game is sometimes Interrupted by railshooter and two nicely made vertical shooter sections. The End Credits have another nice Surprise in store. Marlow Briggs really doesn't make it easy for me. I thought for a While how to evaluate it, but narrowly decided on a Recommendation. The Game has two Flaws that you can hardly get over. As described in the Forums, one is reliably and without comment being thrown back onto the Desktop after 30 to 45 Minutes of Play. Since I played for about 8 Hours, you can calculate exactly how many times this happened to me. Point two is the Fact that Cutscenes set in very suddenly and are also instantly skipped by an inadvertent squeeze of the Attack button. As a result, essential Storyparts have eluded me and so far do not know why I was suddenly friends with one of the Enemies. Since Marlow Briggs doesn't cost a lot of Money and isn't very long either, you can look at it despite the serious Flaws. All in all, I enjoyed it a lot, but I can't make an unqualified Recommendation.
