About

MirrorMoon EP is a game about mystery and exploration set in outer space.
These space travels begin on a red planet and its unique moon and extend across galaxies.
The single player part of MirrorMoon EP blends adventure and exploration with navigation-based puzzle solving. The multiplayer of MirrorMoon EP lets players share Galaxy Maps with other players: the first explorers to land on a planet will be able to name its Star System and that name will be forever bound to the star for any other fellow traveler who encounters it.

Each Galaxy consists of a thousand Systems: it will be possible to fully discover the mysteries of MirrorMoon EP only while collaborating with other players.
Through the apparently indecipherable cockpit of an unknown spacecraft, players will be able to locate and travel to mysterious planets. Each planet has artifacts, buildings, and puzzles on its surface, hidden in astonishing low-poly sceneries.

MirrorMoon was nominated for the Nuovo Award for innovation in games at Independent Game Festival 2013 and was also part of the Official IndieCade and Fantastic Arcade 2012 selections. Since then, MirrorMoon has grown considerably. EP stands for Extended Play, representing all the new content that we added for the official release.

MirrorMoon EP reviews and comments

Mirror Moon is an exploration and puzzle game that I found particularly frustrating. The controls are so peculiar and unpleasant that I sought in vain how to change them, thinking they were buggés. We walk on a planet without explanation, without help, with a system of maps unnecessarily complex and with a mysterious and minimalist music. Is this a game? It's a concept but I found it unnecessarily complex.

Another one of those games that says, "come on, have fun in my original, minimalist and mysterious Super world." So you have to guess what is the point of flying a "spaceship" by pressing buttons and then appearing on empty planets where you can control things with a rifle. So I searched for half an hour, I have two-three tracks, but I mostly have about thirty games in my steam library waiting for me to run them. The most patients will seek...

Like modern art, some will be in Ecstasy in front of this game, but most people will find no interest in it. Minimalist interface, help so minimal that it is non-existent, almost no feedback on the player's actions, annoying sounds as possible. I am clearly not part of the target audience. One feels (perhaps wrongly, but I doubt) a kind of blind claim pretending that being indie and developing a conceptual game inevitably comes back to making a good game. To try drunk see more.

Despite the atmosphere that emerges from the game, this one is comlpltely undrinkable. Incomprehensible from end to end, we spend his time spinning in circles without being able to spot on empty planets or just a few ghostless monuments to assemble of the bidolas with tricks. That's it or the pianing of buttons on a dashboard, trying to capture or the game wants to come. In the same style, "KaiRo" is frankly nicer and we progress at least without turning in circles. There I really regret to have bought this game...

Won on Steamgifts against any expectation a while ago. I found a bit of what I felt playing FEZ in the sense of discovering the unknown and learning through experimentation rather than a complete tutorial. If we adhere, it's good taking. If you are going to play it someday, I recommend starting on a season that has just been launched * as was my case. Only 3% was discovered. I was able to explore and find (first) what I was looking for (and what all the players are actually looking for) without having already indicated (since players can name the "stars"). TL; DR: from pure exploration, filled with mysteries that you will learn to understand while progressing. Fascinating experience. * A new season starts as soon as the current season reaches the 50% of stars explored. The season I participated in was the 74 and was 8% explored when I reached the goal. I was too nice by the way with the renaming. Original message on CPC [forum.canardpc.com].
