What's New

'Let there be light' - The Fire Torch acts like a melee weapon, dealing more damage when it's lit. You can ignite your Torch at the Fire, it will continue burning until the Torch health runs down to 0. You can relight a dead torch at the Fire just like before. A lit Fire Torch will also set Enemies on fire and immediately make them run away from combat. Torches can also be stored on the Weapons Wall - this will extinguish the torch.

 'Chop-Chop' - You'll now find Wood Logs around the forest. These can be chopped up into firewood using your axe! 

'Sleep till Dawn' - Interacting with the bed at night time will now allow you to sleep till the next morning. Just remember to close your door... Upon waking up your game will be saved. 

'Days Alive' - The Game keeps track of how many days you've been ali... been on the farm, of course.

Supported Platforms

Old Forest Ranch is currently supported on  PCs with graphics cards meeting these specifications, using the latest drivers with DirectX 12:

• NVIDIA: Maxwell-generation cards or newer
• AMD: GCN-generation cards or newer
• All newer version of Windows 10 (newer than version 1909.1350) and Windows 11 with support for DirectX 12 Agility SDK are supported.
  • Windows 10 version 1909 — The revision number should exceed or be equal to .1350.
  • Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2 — The revision number should exceed or be equal to .789.
  • DirectX 12 (with Shader Model 6.6 atomics), or Vulkan (VK_KHR_shader_atomic_int64)
