Organ Trail: Director's Cut is a parody zombie indie game developed by The Men Who Wear Many Hats. Initially, the game was developed on Adobe Flash but was later ported to Facebook as an app.

Director's Cut features

In the Director's Cut, the players are able to create a completely new character instead of choosing from the presets. Randomized zombie spawns, boss encounters, and achievements were also added to the game. The original game was described as a parody on the educational game named The Oregon Trail, while the Director's Cut should be considered as a new title that pushes the concept of its source.

While the original game was free-to-play, the players have to buy the Director's Cut in order to play it.

Gameplay

The main objective of the game is to reach a zombie-free haven. In order to do so, the main character has to cross The United States in his old wagon. It is essential to manage food, water, ammunition, and car fuel in order to survive and arrive at your destination. Do not forget to take care of your party, by the way.

At the beginning of the game, the players have to either choose a preset character or create a new one. It is possible to choose from a cop, a lawyer or just a clerk. Every character has their own upsides and downsides. For example, while playing as a cop, the player will be able to search for supplies for a little longer, but the overall score will be smaller after beating the game.

When Oregon Trail darkened in the world of zombies, we get organ trail or how to successfully do a simulation of survival in zombie territory by managing our resources as well as survivors (who can be named at the beginning, including heroes, in order to their bring the names of the people you know if you want a touch of adrenaline by hanging on to the game) with the retro made by Atari sauce. The events are random (a personal can make a karate take and break a bone of the hand if it is called Chuck Norris, ect...) and the game can be merciful with you in suicide or even make you undergo various critical situations in easy. In short, the difficulty varies according to the events mentioned above and the higher it is, the more you will have new stuff, ect... Apart from all this, there are winks to classics from the world of zombies and horror movies, be it the evil dead or the left 4 dead as well as the Romero, we are served. (For old people like me, we can recognize the hero of an old JV released on SNES and mega drive which is a parody of zombie movies and horror movies) In short, if you like the retro and the challenge a bit full in addition to the zombies, go there with your eyes closed because you have one of the pearls of the scene of independence.

The "Men who wear many hats" gave birth to a truly exceptional title, they took the original game, they upset it and they pulled out a diamond. The game is a drug, it seems to be inside a b-movie full of zombies. The perfect example to show that you don't need hyper-realistic graphics to make a fun game. Two possili well above!

The game is a retro zombie simulation in which you try to cross America to reach the safe zone. You do not just have to take care of your supplies, but also your friends, your motorcycle gang and the normal insanity during a zombie apocalypse. Since the game is only available in English, you should be able to speak this language. The game concept is new and unique. If you enjoy spa management and zombie games then you should try the Organ Trail.

Essential for all lovers of zombie themed games. It is a game of decision making and resource management: Gasoline, food, munitions, medicines, tires, exhaust pipes, batteries, scrap and money. You have to embark on a trip to a safe area, stopping in different cities. You will find resources along the way, but also the perders. Gastars municin, deplete the food, municin and first aid kits. It will ruin your car or you will be robbed. On your trip you will be accompanied by four people, who will have the name you decide. You will have to take care of them and they will also help you in certain situations. In cities, you can buy, sell and change resources. Or go find them while you kill some other zombie. The management is fundamental, having to acquire what we need, getting rid of what we are left over (Something that does not happen often, believe me) A survival in every rule. I was not sure I would buy it, just in case it was a truaco and because of the language ... There are long texts in which he explains more or less the story, but it is a very basic and concise English. For the rest, the mechanics of the game is very simple and when you get to it, English is no longer a problem. It has been a real find and I'm glad I found it. It's a very good game and I do not think only retro-gamers can enjoy it. Despite being "the year of the polka" xD, it is a great game to see where you look. Very addictive and enveloping. 5 stars.
