Peregrin slice literally between two worlds styles; a fantasy world and a rather modern world (our era about) but devastated. Bringing elements of these two worlds, it results in something coherent in the narrative frame. Eventually the story stands even if some points remain obscure and strange; one can mention the presence of these monoliths.
It is in 4 or 5h that you will come to grips with it, thus leaving a ratio of life/price pretty bad. However even if there are narrative elements and a scenario, it must be understood that Peregrin's main interest are his puzzles. And the major problem with these puzzles is that they are far too easy to grasp. As much the notion brought to solve the problems, i.e. the control of the animals, is quite nice but on the other hand it wears out quickly and finds itself rather limited according to the number of animals there and their faculties. In this case, this is what makes Peregrins puzzles fun rather than real puzzles.
However, Peregrin wins a good point for his graphics and the use of various shades of colors according to certain moments etc, for the time being, I find that the developers managed to put where he needed what he wanted; without exaggeration or pretence.
On the other hand, it's in terms of gameplay that he boards a little... It feels like it was made for tactile. The game has been developed for the Apple store, it becomes less instinctive on PC.
Peregrin is nice but you have to know to override some of its flaws and enjoy the work behind. Lovers of puzzles have a certain chance of being disappointed and the price stays too high for my liking though.
