Project EduRPG (Prototype)
About
A small proof of concept for an educational game that teaches and uses typing to perform actions.
This was made during the third semester of my game design course and was part of a research project that looked at how to combine formal school curriculum subjects with traditional game design principles in ways that simply put; didn't suck. In it's current form it's a simple RPG battle encounter with Paper Mario-esque battle minigames to perform actions. All inputs reinforce typing principles (eg. neutral hand placement) through the games' systems. I'd love to keep working away at a proper game using this system now that I'm much more experienced coding systems heavy stuff.
