About

Psichodelya pays homage to old-school style top-down shmups (shoot-em-up’s) such as DoDonPachi, Ikaruga, Espgaluda, R-Type Delta, Aero Fighters, Giga Wing, Raiden, and more recent Jamestown.

Players control one of 3 playable ships - dodging bullets and destroying wave after wave of enemies for points in either single or 2 player local coop modes. There are 5 manic levels, each with an epic boss and 5 difficulty levels.

Set in futuristic environment, two races of mechanized alien species wage air-warfare over Earth-like pieces of land. Each ship has a coloured shield that protects the player from bullets that are the same colour. Enemy ships are also colour coded, making them more vulnerable to player shots of colour opposite to their colour.Features:
  • Easy to pick up and play, difficult to master
  • 5 huge levels each with huge epic bosses
  • 1 and 2 players co-op
  • Controls for 2 players on Keyboard or Gamepads
  • In-game leatherboards: local and global
  • On-line leaderboards
  • No two play-throughs are identical
  • Music by Dylan Barry (NPPD Rush, Super Killer Hornet: Ressurection)
  • 5 difficulty levels

Psichodelya reviews and comments

Little shoot'em up who claims the good old days, he has not taken the best alas. Lack of finishing in menus, options. Lack of sensation and fishing in the game too. A fairly high difficulty (too?) from the beginning without real gratification in progression. to avoid at the moment.

That to upload your project from unity to steam and even over charge for it, has a crime, the game is bad because it is badly done, in 3 minutes of games and you've bored, the only thing they have are acceptable graphics, but all the rest are copies of classics. A ship killing bad in vertical scroll... Not that I was the only one.

The worst Game of dropship that I have ever played 0/10 EDIT: For The curious, this game is of ships based on the old arcade but this so but that so badly done that you lose the enthusiasm for these games because it does not take advantage to the bottom its thematic so simply in You're tempted to have fun and you don't get it that's why my 0/10.

Nice Challenge! One thing I notice today is that games have become too easy... This one actually had me trying a few times before getting to the 1st Stage Boss. THE 1st STAGE XD I believe it wpuld be nice if bullets had a spark when hitting the shield or the other enemies, kinda like the stream. I think a few things can be added to the game, but overall it's a nice "old school style" shooter :)

I Do Not recommend it because I consider that in this genre there are many more much better and cheaper options as well. The design of the enemies is very ugly and without any animation, besides that there is little variety and they are only aerial enemies. You cannot play with mouse and the keyboard is not configurable. Not Everything is bad, the gameplay based on the two types of shield color and the high difficulty are positive points, but the whole remains very poor.

Product received for free I go back on my negative evaluation to change it and pass it in positive because, despite a little inspired music and a visual aspect not really engaging, this maniac shooter is not that bad! Its basic idea and propose a color system: when you are in blue, your Shield protects you from opposing shots of the same color (up to a number of times) on the other hand you do not do much harm to blue enemies and if a red shot you TOU is the game over. That brings something interesting to the gameplay. It is always necessary to switch between the blue and red color to maximize its efficiency. The game is difficult to grasp and it takes as much recoil as good taste to know how to appreciate it. It is not a great title, it is certain, however it deserves to be so interested even a few short hours.
