Rescue 3720 to 1

Your mission:

A mining ship has been severely damaged.  You must navigate an asteroid field, salvage supplies, and rescue our stranded crew.

Timing is critical!

Our Intel suggests a catastrophic event will occur within the hour.

How to Play

• Destroy Asteroids and Hostile Spacecraft.
• Salvage Equipment
• Rescue Stranded Crew before they die

Bonus points awarded for –

• Clearing all Asteroids before the next wave (indicated by an alarm)
• Lives remaining after surviving until the catastrophic event
• Rescuing ALL stranded crew and surviving until the catastrophic event

As you’ve probably already noticed, the game was heavily inspired by the arcade classic, Asteroids.  The twist, however, is a timed/rescue mechanic encouraging players to move quickly, rescuing crew and scoring as many points as possible within a short window of opportunity.

Once mastered, a complete run will never last more than approx. 7 minutes before the “end game” event, so the hope is to create a game that’s fast paced, quick-to-play, and encourages battles for the top spot on the scoreboard.

• Polishing SFX
• Playtesting, balancing, bug detection/correction
• Optimization; testing on older PCs

 

Planned for future update:

• Ship selections 
• Gamepad support  (I currently use the excellent JoyToKey when using gamepads on PC, but do plan to add “proper” gamepad support at a future time)
