A little thing I was doing in my spare back when I was working on the original SpacEscape. Nothing concrete, just literally trying to imitate as much as I could from Megaman games from the SNES.
At one point tho, I couldn't keep with it and just focused in SpacEscape. This one I'm pretty sure I won't try again in Godot, there's plenty of Megaman hack/fan games out there, I don't know what innovation could I bring to the table, aside from my interpretation on how the missing link between classic and X would be, but that's story stuff, not gameplay.
CONTROLS:
- Arrow keys : Move (DOWN to crouch UP for firing upwards)
- A: SHOOT
- S: JUMP
- D: DASH
- NumPad ( . ) : Change character
- NumPad ( 5 ) : Use special weapon
- ENTER: Menu
BUGS:
- Frame rate would be wonky depending on your machine (I didn't knew about gameplay being tied to framerate until way later when I played Bugthesda games :P). On my old pc it ran fine, but on my new one the FPS goes to 60+ when the optimal should be 40~
- You can move while the menu is open sometimes (attacking or jumping will close it)
- High volume (sorry about that)
