Runers is a top-down rogue-like dungeon shooter where you explore a vast underground labyrinth and face fierce monsters and bosses. As the game advances further into the dungeon, you will gather Runes, which will be used to combine into 285 unique spells. Discovering new spells will unlock their entries in your Runedex; unlock them all! But be careful – if you die, your playthrough is finished.

We wanted to make a game that had a lot of replayability, customization, and discovery. Almost every design choice we made focused on furthering those three goals. We want the player to be able to choose the playing style that suits them: long range sniper, mid range run and gun, or an up close brawler. There are many features to facilitate this level of customization. When you earn enough experience you will level up and be able to choose from 4 random traits to make you even stronger.

Each floor is procedurally generated, so the enemies, rooms, event rooms, and bosses you face are all randomly chosen, making every playthrough different. You will not encounter everything in the game in one playthrough, or even five: there is always something new to encounter.

  • Each floor and room is completely randomized – each run will be a different experience
  • Choose from 20 Races and 20 Classes to customize your runs
  • Runes have unique stats that modify the spells you create with them
  • Choose from 285 different spells to build your own unique spell loadouts
  • Upgrade your spells to make them even stronger
  • 50 different traits to choose from when leveling up
  • 10 procedurally generated floors to explore and fight through
  • 15+ random bosses and 100+ random enemies to fight
  • Numerous Challenges, Event Rooms, and Achievements to complete
  • Defeating enemies unlocks entries in your Beastiary
  • 5 difficulties to increase the challenge

Runers reviews and comments

My first Impression on Runers is more than good. It is very reminiscent of Games like "The Binding of Isaac," "Quest of Dungeons," "Magicka" and "Legend of Zelda" entry is relatively easy for a "Rougelite," here the Saying "Easy to learn but hard to master fits." The Game would be one of the Games where you could completely relax, were it not for the Monsters who want to kill something like that from hectic. :D The Start is as follows: You choose a Character with a Special Ability, E.g. the Paladin with its Ability "Reflects any Damage back to the Monsters for 10 Seconds" Then you choose your "Blessing" or "Curse." A Blessing, for example, would be "man" with + 5 on all Skills, or just the Curse of the Shadows that continually shoots around the Character. (Curse doesn't really mean Curse, but is more of a Kind Of Buff) Then you can choose your Start Spell. (Fire, Water, Air, thought, Entropy, Etc.) Incidentally, it is a simple Rune spell. In the Dungeon itself there are Rooms that are decorated with "Auras," which can help or even weaken a Helping. In addition, there are the so-called "Event" rooms, which Actually represent nothing more than a Quest in a Mini-format. (Defeat 5 Enemies, take Off all Fireballs for 30 Seconds, Remember the right Combination of flashing Stars, etc.) If you Create an Event room, you will be rewarded with another Skill or even a Rune (Can you choose.) All 3 Levels, moreover, there is also an End boss who can have it in him even very easily if you do not yet know How to defeat Him. According to the Final Bosses, there are also Semi-bosses, who in My Opinion are sometimes far too difficult for just one in question. In The Game, of course, some Monsters also discard "Runes," which you can combine with "Double Combiners." For example, Fire + Water Rune results in a Double spell or you can get an extra-strong Spell of the 3 Runes into a Spell. For the 3 Rune spell, however, a "Triple Combination" is also necessary, which you can get if you sacrifice 4 Double Combiners. The Game is played with the Mouse and Keyboard or with Gamepad. + High replayed thanks to the different Classes and Blen/curses. + Achievements that are neither too easy nor HEAVY for ZU. (The "Discover All Secrets" achievement has not yet been achieved by anyone) + Collectible cards + Since last Update, Local coop mode is also possible + RUNEN! -Opponents are sucker, just run straight to one or run against Walls. (What the Danger of not being killed by You, of course.) -Semial Bosses are far too strong-No proper Quest. (I hope that's yet to come.)
