Secret Ponchos is a Wild West-themed twin-stick multiplayer shooter.

Art-style and setting

Secret Ponchos universe takes inspiration from spaghetti westerns.
Its levels are set in classic western environments such as saloons, railroads, small towns, and mines. The game’s art-style is cartoonish; the character models are very expressive and grotesque.

The players participate in online matches with up to three players in each team. There are eight different characters (named “outlaws”) in the game, each one with its unique abilities, weapons, and stats. Every outlaw has two different weapons with several fire modes such as the rifle that can both fire spread shots and snipes enemies from the long distance, sawed-off shotgun that can stun enemies, the sword with charged attacks and many more. Each character has five characteristics that can be adjusted in the “Outlaw Perks” menu: damage, speed, stamina, fire rate, and health.
The game has a rank system tallied as a bounty. Winning ranked matches increases your bounty and lets you progress through 10 ranks, from Petty to Death Bringer.

Game modes

Even though there is a single-player arcade mode, Secret Ponchos is mostly a multiplayer game.
There are four multiplayer game modes: Domination in which team with five kill advantage wins, Deathmatch with no respawn, Free-for-all, and Posse leader where you have to protect your team’s leader and kill the opposite team’s leader.

Secret Ponchos reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from French
I wrote some time ago a bad review of this game: for a multiplayer game, I waited two weeks to wait for a Gus to come down. After I stick a red thumb. It was not very nice of me, because this game has really good qualities... TL DR for lazy: this game is superb and well worth the money you keep to buy something useful, but there is no one on the servers. IF DEVELOPERS WANT MY OPINION, THEY WILL HAVE MORE TO GAIN BY TRANSFORMING IT INTO FREE2PLAY. TL; DR for the lazy: awesome game but nobody want to play with me:(((. THE DEVS TEAM NEED TO TRANSFORM THIS GAME INTO A F2P QUICKLY FOR SAVING THE COMMUNITY (TAKE EXAMPLE ON League of legends OR DOTA, GUYS, TONS OF PEOPLE LOVE TO SPENT MONEY TO BUY USELESS SKINS). Brief review in French: what is secret ponchos? SP is a game in which you embody a Gus who has no other purpose in life than to descend from other Crapules. Full. as if it were raining. and already it puts you in the mood. It passes from the Mexican superhero (the only one who has decided to wear a poncho) to the deboned kid who throws you a stick of dynamite, up to the matadora who visibly moved by the fate of the bulls, began to gut the whole West. How are we having fun? SP is a Moba-like: you choose your favorite Bandit and you go into an arena exterminate everything is to carry ball. subtlety? no character is played in the same way and each uses two weapons specific to its gameplay (and every two-function weapon: the deserter for example has a Winchester rifle as a base weapon, if he doesn't want to shoot you, it means you're going to p make a bad shot of baionnette/the matadora has two banners: if it manages to plant you two, it can execute you in a stroke of Sabre). This is a real plus, even if mass shoot is usually the best strategy (developers have thought about it, there is an obese type with a Gatling) online mode also allows you to spend some valuable points to fill the gaps of your characters ( like offering him more life points, never know...) Are we having fun? my faith Yes. It's a spaghetti western where it pulls in every way. SP mode do not do in lace: we go down into the arena, we shoot. It's pretty much the only mode available, no King of coliine, no survival,... It's a pity, but after all I did not expect to play the belotte... What about the mutli? right there, we bring the point that hurts. the game is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and you will even want to hear some pieces of the soundtrack play at the great moments of your life. but here, the game is like that would say... Death. There is no one: it is a monstrous mess of potential, so if you want to do a good sincere deed, stop helping the old ladies to cross the street and talk about this game. Do it five times a day. And you may have the chance to see me one day get you down and add your head to my collection. For: + an atmosphere at the Red dead redemption (Yes, yes) + awesome music + beautiful graphics for an indie game + full of playing fields + a Mexican superhero + several stereotypes of outlaw + original gameplays (haha the banners) and nervous + visibly more subtle than it seems against:-person on the servers-still some bugs-arcade mode not terrible-imbalance of the characters (eg: warmonger too strong/Matador too weak)-how about, no skin of Leo di Caprio for the Trapper? -not enough game mode-maybe more land? -Maybe more characters? -MAYBE MORE PEOPLE ON THE SERVERS????? = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = So guys, its late, and I too tired to write something correct in English. At first I just want to share love and bullets with all of you, but I do that better in English... But if you was brave enough to read my entire article, I can just write for you the pro/con. you're welcome. PRO: + wanna ply a cowboy in a red dead redemption style is possible. + awesome music + sexy graphism for an indie game + many many maps + a Mexican Super Hero (take that, Trump) + a tone of outlaws + originals gameplay (Yep, the matadora) + a DEEP gameplay (you can shoot, but did you know that you can use a Molotov like a flame thrower? the e nanthavongsa either..) CON:-no people on the servers-what? No di Caprio skin for the Trapper?? -some bugs-unbalanced characters (yeah I speak about you warmonger)-weaaaaaaak arcade mode-need more game mode-maybe more maps? -Maybe more outlaws? (Oh come on: King Schulz, doc Holidday, Django??) -MAYBE MORE PEOPLE ON THE SERVERS?????
