Early Access Review
Well, visually the game is indeed not bad. But that is the only good point about it.
I understand that this is just an Alpha version. But I don't see what there is to pay for.
Judge for yourself:
1) The actual in game graphic - is not as nice and pretty as it is shown on the screen shots, Yes it is not bad, but it is still rather lacking and edgy (even with maxed out settings).
2) Controls - are hard to get and there is next to zero of any tips or explanation how to navigate your ships around (except some random advices in the upper screen), group them or give individual orders (if that is at all possible).
3)UI - yes it is filled with lots of pretty (actually not so pretty graphic vise) icons. But what they all means is rather hard to tell as pop-up tip dos not actually tells what they supposed to do, not to mention what for I need that in a first place. I mean, yes, I get what "Deep Scan" means, but what do I need that for? Just to go and Deep Scan that cloud because mission objective said so? Give me a brake.
4) Battles - well, there IS battles... Group of your ships face the group of enemy ships. Some flashes, which supposed to mean some pulse lasers or whatever and Bam! you win... or not. No maneuvering, no evasion, no actually missing with your or theirs weapons. Opposed fleets just "crush" in each other and that is all, they stay locked in their places and go "piu-piu" at each other...
5) Gameplay - well, the advertise page tells us that it is actually deep and grate game. Ummm... No, it is not. So far there only "Skirmish" and "Hangar" mode available and to actually play a skirmish or go and actually DO something at the hangar, you have to perform a serious of some actions, which supposed to be the fleet forming for Skirmish and something unknown for Hangar. And neither are a small task, since developers decided to leave any tutorials for later, it seams. And I mean ANY, there is no tutorial whatsoever.
a. Hangar. So, in the hangar you supposed to make your own ships... Well, I guess you WILL be able to do so... someday...
b. Skirmish. No building. No resource gathering. No planing. Nothing. Just fly straight ahead and do "piu-piu".
6) There is no main story/Campaign ready.
Again, I understand that this is just an Alpha version. But since developers had enough impudence to toss THAT in the market, and it is NOT free to play. I have all rights to want and demand something in return of my money. And this game is... well dos not have anything worth it. If developers would ACTUALLY going to work over it and ACTUALLY finish it. It may become quite interesting project, but not now.
