“SHOCK TROOPERS ”, the fan favorite 2D top-down view action shooting game released exclusively on NEOGEO MVS in 1997, returns to the battlefield on Steam!
Progress through the battlefield, choosing the best routes and strategy! MAIN FEATURES・ARCADE:
Choose a character and go on your mission solo in “Lonely Wolf” mode, or form a team of three soldiers from the eight mercenary characters available, and try to rescue Dr. George and his granddaughter who have been kidnapped.
The route you choose at the beginning will affect the progress of the game, allowing you to enjoy an original gameplay experience time after time.
・MULTIPLAYER:
Connect to Steam and clear missions with a brother-in-arms far away via the Online Co-Op Play feature.
Engage with a fellow countryman or foreign ally, and try to put an end to the evil plans of the terrorist group called the “Bloody Scorpions”!

Shock Troopers is a game that marked a whole generation of recreational and where the graphics and the script of a story were the last thing you notice. An Authentic Arcade, it retains all its essence and gets you hooked in front of your computer until it finishes. It Offers three routes for its replayability and many characters that without a doubt, you will have fixation by one in particular to have several options. You can enjoy It with your online weapons partner and co-op with two controls. A little gem that you can not let escape, either by nostalgia or wanting to vaporize a lot of enemies and then later, sleep quiet at night.

This game has everything you would want and more for an arcade 90s shut'em up game. It has great music, great sound effects, great pixel art, a lot of explosions, everything just feels amazing. If you are interested in the details: this is a game that throws you a bunch of enemies, then lets you continue walking over the level, then throws you a bunch of enemies, and so on. About the the controls, they are very interesting, you can move and aim with a stick and while you are shooting you continue aiming at the same direction but you can still walk, that's an interesting way to shoot and walk at the same time using a single stick , so, this is a game good for begginers in videogames but also can be very challenging and that makes this game also good for veterans in videogames. Another nice thing that you can do is roll to evade bullets(you are invulnerable while rolling), and this game has a considerable amount of bullet hell parts. In fact, those parts are similar to Enter the Gungeon, but older :).

Metal Slug in isometric Shock Troopers originally appeared in 1997 for the Neo Geo-SNK'S ultimate but also expensive Arcade Console. It plays similar to Metal Slug, the Run n Gun which grew up on the Platform. However, here you control his Rambo blend from the isometric Perspective. But Otherwise, as usual from Metal Slug, you mow down everything that is not at 3 On the Trees-and this partly leads to impressive Explosions, which are beautifully visible in the Comic Optics. Since I am generally reluctant to move across the Horizontal Axis Across the Playing field-so I usually prefer vertically scrolling Shoot'M Ups to their horizontal Counterparts-I would always prefer this Game to a Metal Slug-it somehow makes me feel more To be in Control of your own Character. Even if everything else in this Game-from Optics to Gameplay to basic Mood-seems to shout loudly "Metal Slug"! All Metal Slug Fans who need some Variety definitely recommend!
