Super Stacker (Pixel-Team)

Super Stacker is my entry into the Amaze Me Game Jam, hosted by YoYo Games.

Super Stacker is a skill based game where your goal is to stack blocks in an infinitely scrolling and random map. The two main rules are:

1. You must stack the block over an existing block

2. You can not stack a block directly under another (non-blinking) block.

3. Watch out for Spikey. You'll know him when you see him. He kills you instantly.

CONTROLS

SPACEBAR or LEFT MOUSE BUTTON to drop block.

BLINKING BLOCKS

Some blocks blink. You are allowed to drop a block directly underneath these.

TIMER

When the timer reaches zero, the piece will speed up, making your drops more challenging to time correctly.

POWERUPS

WINGS - Allows a single drop over an empty space

TURTLE - Resets the block speed back to 1

HEART - Awards an Extra Life

LIGHTNING - Engages a Super Stack

TIPS AND TRICKS

It is possible to stack a narrow column with no room for the piece to move. You will see a question mark on your piece when this happens.

Some paths that are more difficult have rewards.

At each 100 meters, level patterns will become more challenging.

If you find yourself stuck between blinking blocks, you could always wait till you're faster... if you dare.
