As a self-confessed Fan of the Sword Coast and its Stories from Baldurs Gate to Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights, it was for me to support Sword Coast Legends from the Beginning. Warm it with the D & D License (for Non-connoisseurs D & D stands for Dungeons & Dragons) and had several Developers who had already worked on the old Games.
Well, there it was now and the big Sticking point Is that D & D is big on it but unfortunately not in it. But does the Game still work? Yes, it does.
Apart from the first big Blemish, the Developers here are delivering another great Story from the Sword coast. After Neverwinter Nights 2 has been around for quite a while, Sword Coast Legends Was just right.
Visually, the Title is absolutely decent and coherent. The Areas are varied, though the actual Areas in which we move are not really large. The Textures often seem mushy and the entire Graphic scaffolding already Dusted a bit. But it serves its Purpose. The Characters are lovingly designed and the Animations quite neat. However, the Magic Effect Sometimes seems very pale and lacks the right "Wumms."
Sound Technical is in the Main Everything in order only unfortunately the English Speakers probably did not Feel like it or the Fee was probably too little. So they noodle down their Lyrics one time or another That we're bad for you. That didn't deserve the Game. By and Large, though, the Speakers are doing a good Job. Unfortunately, here, as unfortunately, it is often true today that there is no German Language Output, but only German Texts. But they are at least decently translated.
But what is Annoying is that with every Click on the floor the character lows down the same Sayings and that goes after 5 Minutes at the Latest on the Biscuit but for Comfort be said after 15 Minutes you don't pay attention to it anymore and listen over it.
A classic Role-playing Game awaits you in a playful Way. Character creation works quite simply, as with other Representatives. Choose Gender, choose Race, choose Class, subject Character to some optical Finishing touches and into Adventure.
Unfortunately, there is still a Catch here. So there are only a manageable 5 Classes and 6 Breeds. Decongaries node e.g. Monks or Druids are unfortunately left out. But that does not mean that it remains the case, because the Developers continue to deny supplies for the Game. Another Story followed with the free Addon "Rage of Demons" Quick already a second Character joins us and soon we move off in the classic group of 4 and plunge into adventure.
Each Character is very individual and can be improved and specialized after a Level Ascent. For example, the Group bals consists of 2 Near-koppers (one with Sword and shield and one with a Two-hand Weapon) a Magician with Support Spells and a Long-distance Fighter with Magic skills. The Group has grown close to my Heart after a relatively short Time and Always delights with small Comments and Froziness. Leidererschöpt it already arose and unfortunately no real Relationships of the Characters arise in the deeper need and also a Rectbelei was dispensed with.
Nevertheless, the Characters are lovingly designed and make the Game coherent in itself.
The Controls are catchy and known from Titles like Neverwinter Nights. If you don't like the Controller, you can Manually configure the Key assignment And thus adapt it to your own Wishes and Ideas.
Finally, I can say that it is a pity that the large-scale D & D License and Advertising is unfortunately a Pack of Moles. So sad is Sword Coast Legends As a standalone considered game however superbly.
It tells me another great Story from the Sword Coast and I can only hope that this was not the last Story the n-space here to tell.
Anyone who had hoped for a Neverwinter Nights 3 only by other Name might be disappointed but who it can give the Game a fair chance and will entertain really well even if the Story slowly gets going takes it right Ride on From me there is a clear Purchase Recommendation and a "Thumbs up"!
