Technotron defense is one of those little games that should have been nice to play but which in the end prove poorly programmed.
For the positive points, I love the graphic style even if sometimes one regrets that the colors of the checkerboard playable and not playable are not too marked (green-blue in particular), the Tower Defense part is well made and offers the challenge in some maps and to finish the soundtrack (synth music style 80 's) offers a real pleasure on the first part.
Unfortunately, this game is getting too much Malus in my opinion and unless I am like me (I hate that a game cheat) it would happen to drop very quickly.
To begin with, the tutorial (1st level) only carries the name because nothing explains the basis of the game, what is the use of the weapons in attendance or the types of enemies that will fall on you. You can guess or more easily you take a trip first and you see better what to do. Restarting a game afterwards causes a bug that no longer allows you to click on the placed weapons and therefore to be able to upgrade them which adds an additional difficulty to a game that already has quite a lot by itself. Too few musics come back as a result in a loop and after 2 hours, they start to "take" your head. There is an option to mute it but at each revival of a game or play it is necessary to redo the manip or sometimes it raises itself in the neck of the party... awesome:(
We cannot move the camera in rotation and sometimes it poses some problems of apprehension of the map. For the enemies, sometimes the waves contain only a few units sometimes one has the impression that this is not going to end without counting those that overlap (flying units in particular)...
The levels in themselves are interesting even though at use you will see that it is impossible to use them at 100%, the game will weigh you too much at once to have time to prepare a real course in advance. Anyway, as in all these games says hardcore, it is the one that has the biggest wins (balloon missile, Canon Testla,...) It's a proven method that also works in this game. It is necessary to lengthen the path of the enemies, to put them out from the start and finish them in the middle of the race... Basic but effective.
There is no backup during the game, any level started must be finished under penalty of being redone and there is normally a trick that should give a level score but that like a lot of things does not work.
To summarize my point of view because unfortunately there would still be much to say. a game that had potential but that was completely programmed with the feet... all this gives a wobal game especially hardcore by the bugs that you rot life and if you can go beyond try it. For the others, we find better on steam and even for less than a euro (price at which it is currently sold) it is too expensive paid in the State.
