Tennō
About
Tennō (Japanese: heavenly emperor) is a city-building real-time strategy game set in feudal Japan during the Edo period (1603 -1868). Gather, produce and manage resources and take responsibility for your city’s economic growth. Experience the challenge to fulfill your citizens growing needs and help your city to grow and thrive.
You start the game with the gathering and cultivation of basic resources like wood and rice to fulfill the needs of your citizens who are the workers simultaneously. Citizens live in residential buildings that need to be upgraded to a higher tier to hold more inhabitants and therefore provide more workers. Each upgrade requires a specific and growing variety of resources. Carefully manage your resources, production costs, and workforce.
Tennō is our master's graduation project made during the two years of our studies at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. It was designed and developed by Alexander Auberger (Game Design, Programming), Thomas Schneidergruber (Game Design, Programming), and Stefanie Thiel (Art Direction, 3D Modelling) with the help of Angela Prager (Character Modeling) and Marco Mairer (Audio).
