Make conclusions and choose the correct route, because all your decisions affect the outcome of the game and influence the fact whether you can get to the truth. Thuth that was lost in your own mind…
- Excellent graphics achieved with Unreal Engine 4 – the most advanced game engine in the world. We used photogrammetry technology and high-resolution textures to create the world of The Butterfly Sign as beautiful as possible.
- Non-linear dialogues and the ability to make choices which will affect the course of the story and the ending. The progress of the dialogue always depends on your location. And you always have the opportunity to make choices, sometimes insignificant, sometimes important for the further story.
- Brainstorm your head with investigation of murders, puzzles and mysteries. The Butterfly Sign develops the player’s skills of criminology and deduction. For those players who prefer the story, there is always the easiest difficulty level, but if you are really up to the true detective, you have a variety of other levels, including the hardest one causing the game restart after a single death.
- In The Butterfly Sign, the events take place in the past and in the present simultaneously.
- The atmospheric sound. We have paid a great attention to sound effects in The Butterfly Sign. Every lamp, every water drop falling from the ceiling has its own sound. Each room boasts of its own unique ambience corresponding to its style and mood.
The action takes place in present. The protagonist, Jack, was found not far from Memority hospital, where an experimental drug called Rammex had been developed. It was created to help patients recover their memories. But the hospital was attacked. The drug was stolen, and all the staff and patients were killed. Explosion and conflagration destroyed a part of the hospital. And Jack was the only survivor. As a result of a strong explosion, Jack lost some of his memory, he remembers only small fragments of what have happened.
Jack is helped by Dr. Romanov – the chief scientist of Memority hospital and the mastermind behind the drug. During the whole game, the protagonist will be staying in a hospital bed, and all the gameplay will occur in his memories restored with Rammex. The game world is divided into two parts: the real world, where the hero is confined to a hospital bed, and the world of his memories, where he will spend most of his time. The Butterfly Sign also has non-linear dialogues, and all your decisions will affect the outcome of the story at the very end.
Necessary Evil
The Butterfly Sign is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, Jack, walking through the alley of his own memory, becomes the eyes and ears of Dr. Romanov. The drug "Rammex" helps him do it. The main character tries to recover the fragments of his memory in order to find the ones responsible for the attack on Memority. Hovewer, the further he goes, the more he realizes that everything that happened was the necessary evil...
Human Error
Memority had been developing "Rammex" to help sick patients recover their lost memory. According to the Memority scientists, "Rammex" was able to quickly restore human nerve cells. It would have been a real revolution in medicine, a cure for many illnesses. But turning over the pages of his own mind and investigating the incident, Jack begins to realize how unreal his world is, and what a beautiful lie all this is...
Wreck of my Warship
In the end, to find the one responsible for the attack on Memority, Jack has to collect all the pieces of his memory together. He goes to the dam, where he last saw the mercenaries, but instead finds only one person who jumps down from the dam trying to commit suicide. Realizing that he has already been there, and the answer is in his head, Jack follows the self-murderer and jumps, because it’s the only chance to remember ...

"The Butterfly Sign" is a first-person Adventure detective.
Before us is the first part of the trilogy about the experimental drug "Rammex", which is able to restore memory. The Story is told on behalf of the only witness-Jack. Only he managed to survive the attack on the hospital, which was developed the drug. Jack lost some of his memory, he remembers only small fragments of the incident. Dr. Romanov with the help of the drug "Rammex" helps Jack to restore the memory of the main events...
Feel yourself in the role of a lost memory and disoriented person who does not remember who he is, what happened, where he is now, what is happening around. All that he knows-only vague, fragmentary memories, recovered with the help of the drug. Do you Believe such memories? Do you Believe Dr. Romanov's words? Is it Really what is happening?
The Mysterious story is divided into three parts. The First chapter shows us only one piece of the puzzle. It introduces us to the main characters, shows the middle of history and the very beginning. It gives only vague hints and assumptions about happening and abruptly breaks down on the most interesting place!
Graphically everything is very beautiful. Designer and artist levels can be praised. The Ambience looks amazing and atmospheric. It's like Being between the real world and the world of memories. Successfully made the verge of transition between memories and holographic fence, which does not allow to leave the location (to get behind the map). A Beautiful artistic solution. It is Nice to listen to quality Russian voice.
In all this barrel of honey there is a spoon of tar. The Game often does not want to run on the main menu. Push "New Game" or "Continue" and all... The download Hangs and the game is hung up. I couldn't catch why it happened. That game starts without problems, then does not want to run at all. Sometimes It helps to restart the computer, change the resolution of the graphics or choose between "New game" or "Continue. I am Glad that if the game started, it is not crashes and not buggy. Maybe others are different, but judging by the discussions, the problem with the launch is not just mine. It has to be fixed.
Despite the bug with the download game liked. Very Atmospheric and beautiful. The head Goes in one breath. "Necessary Evil/Necessary evil" is rather a prologue. Only Enter the taste, and the narrative breaks down! I Want to know the whole story, but it will have to go through all three parts.

The Game is bad.
It's a short Adventure with detective Elements.
The Subject is probably once Again a gloomy institution in which associal Experiments have been made on People. We visit (forced, which we are held captive) on the basis of our Memory again this Place.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1548071506 At several Points, we act as a Detective. The Game gives us several possibilities Of Interpretation, only one of which is correct, which is usually not difficult to see, but sometimes it is easy to guess.
In later Parts of the Game, instead of a Selection, there is only one Error message (which apparently belongs to the Game), which makes everything seem only nonsensical. In any case, I then started to no longer understand the Game.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1548071372 Otherwise, we still have to crack Passwords of Computers (whereby the Contents of the Computers are almost always empty; but you can actually go to the Internet with the PC's in the Game; whether that's just a Gag?) or Play Mini-games (at least one, easy).
A Lot happened in the Game time I had, actually not. While a gloomy mood is built up quite well at times, it too often remains very unfavorable.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1548071708 The Graphics are good. Even though everything is usually very gloomy and the View is often clouded, this can also be seen in Detail. Too bad it wasn't used for a better Game.
The Sound is also passable. The (few) Speakers are in English.
The Game has a very long Loading Time that you can believe it crashed. Whether it had crashed in some Attempts At the start on my part or I only accepted this at some point, I can't say exactly. In any case, It is quite frustrating.
Pro & Contra: o A horror Dtetetiti-style story-Partly mysterious gameplay-With some Questions, you simply have to guess-Crashes or too long Loading Times-Internet Browsers (why?)
Rating: 3/10 The Game fails to take the Player a little more into his Game. You often stand there wondering if you have done something wrong or what to do. I thought the Gameplay was really weird.
PS: I tried and played the Game again after half a Year, but found myself almost completely vindicated in my Assessment.
It is only "Chapter 1," so it is understandable in itself that it is only Piecemeal and practically stops before it has even started, but it is simply far too little and rather poorly done.
