The Kite reviews and comments

Point and click very very short but sometimes point need to turn in circles 107 years to tell poignant things. It's a really sad story, the graphics are well made, and classical music: Beethoven please!!! Adds a dose of extra sadness to the ambience. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1604234605 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1604234441 the puzzles are not necessarily logical I had difficulties in some places (scene with the cat and the boxes) and I had to use a guide. At launch, the game is in Russian or Ukrainian, indescribable acronyms for me and it is difficult to find the options and how to change the language. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1604167695 if not once past the difficulty of language change, this small free trial is worth playing. I'm going to get started in "the little kite" that seems to be a continuation or a continuation of the story. I will never understand that a game all that is Honorable in content is broken by harsh critics while it is offered free by its author. If the atmosphere may not please (because it remains quite dark/sad, illustrating the highly depressing aspect of mankind in its most desperate state), it is easy and inexpensive not to pursue the adventure without spitting on the excellent work that has been done here. And for those who will continue the game, that they expect a few phases of thoughtful thinking, in a rather sinister setting it is true, but that is well worth discovering. In the kite, the player embodies a woman who lives in misery, having no food to feed her child, and beaten by her alcoholic husband. Housed in a shabby building, she lives a lonely life, where the neighbors have nothing to do with her. And when his son goes into town in the middle of the night with his kite, she finds no support from the people around her. Worried, she will have to try to open her husband's eyes to the dangers that their son is likely to face. Will it happen to find it before a tragedy takes place? In the tradition of point & click, this game is only directed to the mouse. It allows to take, look, talk,... and any interaction is marked on the screen by changing the color (red) of the arrow. A change as noticeable as the whole game is in halftone black & white/sepia. A choice that increases the feeling of despair that encompasses the theme of the game, the characters and the decorations. Musically, the kite is primarily directed to Beethoven's music, where many excerpts are heard via a faded and Livid piano sound like an unhealthy echo. But the music is not omnipresent however, and the musical silence weighs most of the time to the General dark impression of the game. The kite is a short, well realized adventure that deserves to be supported by fans of the genre. Between the Visual-novel for narrative style (which is very often dark and dirigiste), and the dot & click for gameplay and puzzles (which I recall to be very well imagined and realized), the kite has a little trouble finding its audience. But as soon as the player lingers a little to give him his chance, and he is not put off by the singular atmosphere of this title, he will discover an adventure that does not leave indifferent.
