The Technomancer reviews and comments

+ + + This Short Review contains light Spoilers + + + "The Technomancer" is a science fiction Role-playing Game from Spiders and is distributed by Focus Home Interactive. We play Zachariah Rogue Mancer, a so-called Technomancer. Technomancers have the Ability to generate, manipulate and even use electricity/electricity to protect their own Person. As it turns out later in the Game, it's not a Gift like the Magic in fantasy RPGs, but a Change in DNA. In this Game we can dedicate ourselves to one of 4 different Styles of play (Fighters, Technomancers, Crooks, Guardians), depending on which Style you prefer. The Character system is solid. You get one Skill Point per Level, one character point each stage and one talent point each stage a Second Stage. In Addition, "The Technomancer" offers a rock solid Crafting System that becomes relevant at higher Levels of Difficulty. The Protagonist does not have to take the Adventure alone. He is Assisted by some very interesting Companions, such as Niehsa, Phobos and Scott. Each Companion has an independent quest series that fits in well with the Overall Concept of the Game. Furthermore, we can enter into a romantic Relationship with our Companions if we so wish. The relationship quests also fit in well with the Game, but the Relationships lack "Depth," as is the Case, for example, in Dragon Age: Origins, the Mass Effect Series or even in The Witcher III. I have to say kudos to the Soundtrack. The Pieces are well thought out, never intrusive and fit perfectly into the respective Situation/Ort/encounter. "The Technomancer" offers Subtitles to the spoken Word. Since the English Speakers do an excellent Job, the display of the Subtitles is superfluous in my Eyes. The Gameplay and its Technique is conveyed by Tutorials, are, in my View, self-explanatory to anyone who has ever played a Game from this Genre. With regard to graphics/textures, you have to make some Smears. The Faces, some Landscapes and the dynamic light/shadow play are good, but most of the time it looks "old baked" and a bit "squishy." Nevertheless, you can look at it (see Screenshots). The Story of the Game is straightforward, action-heavy and often offers good Approaches (Racism, Apathy, Ruthlessness) and thinks some, Not all, Storylines medium to End well, But to prolong the Gaming Experience "artificially" use the Developers in the Side Quests often of Backtracking, which in the Long run quite annoying. The constant respawn of the Opponents is also extremely nervous in the Long run. Now a few Words to the Story: After considering the Initiation Rite of the Technomancer, our Hero Zachariah gets the Surname "Mancer," as each "Technomancer" carries it. After fulfilling some typical (and unloved) Side Quests, our Protagonist Gets into an Intrigue of the Military as well as Politics. As he looks to get bogged down by the Allegations of Treason, chaos breaks out in the City and the military's one-time "Star" has to flee His Hometown head over heels. He now goes in search of the Masterminds of intrigue and stumbles unintentionally upon arguably the greatest Mystery ... 7.5/10
