About

Set in the steampunk era, you take on an expedition to a forsaken island that you once called home. But sudden eruptions triggered by a mechanical race of beings turned the wondrous place into an apocalyptic wasteland. In order to survive the island’s natural elements, you have to outsmart these creatures and capture one of their drillships. Use their own technology against them as you upgrade the machinery and reclaim your homeland.
Take the vantage point, stay safe underground or choose a material-rich location and explore. The drillship is one of a kind base capable of joining you on every journey.
Experience the tension and thrill of surviving volcanic eruptions. Time between each eruption is your most valuable resource. Use it to roam the island gathering materials, finding new technology and utilizing production.
Deal with a hostile race of robots that use the volcano as a source of energy. Their units are scattered all around the island’s surface as well as below it.
Customize your drillship from the inside out with colors, symbols, gadgets and more. Automate production, research technologies, set up defenses and turn the drillship into an unbreachable powerhouse.

Volcanoids reviews and comments

Early Access Review Volcanoids. I only found the Game by Chance and watched it and played through it and had to say that it was a lot of Fun in itself. You are a faceless Guy who ploughs the Island with his Drill and fights against Evil robots and your Laser Power Plants underground and That's actually already. And so you move around the Country and drill what the stuff holds. You have your Drill, because I actually want to expand and equip as best you want. The only thing you notice is the Number of Cores and the Energy you need. EInzelne Components can be upgraded and you get many different Extras. You can't drive The Drill itself. You can drive from Waypoint to Waypoint, but there are almost 36 of them on the Island, so more than enough ^^ The Graphics are okay. The Landscape is good and the Models all look beautiful for the Graphics of the Game. The Story, but more akin to an eternally long Tutorial, because even the smallest Step is explained to you, and the Storyline itself is not the best. It is actually only made up of Driving, disembark, upgrade and break the Laser. Did you manage this, Congratulations you do the same in Areas 2 and 3. Is a little annoying but okay. Unfortunately, the Opponents do not pose a real Threat either. Robots break your Outer Shell, but that's what it's, they don't do more. The only real Enemy is the Volcano itself, which erupts Periodically and scraps your whole Drill if you don't dig in. There's nothing left to do after the Story ends, but good. Is Early Access. On the whole, the Game is really Fun and with almost 6 1/2 Hours it took me to row the Story (without rusher anything) it's really worth the 17 or 18 euros. I hope that more Content is coming, I would be very happy. I recommend it ^^

Early Access Review Volcanoids Actually, I once again hoped to be able to take a Game so properly by the lack of lack of who knows my Reviews, but then everything turned out differently. Rarely could a Game, again every time I have tied up the PC for 10 Hours. Exactly, I Installed the Game, once started, I finished it when I was through without any crashes or Mistakes that kinky the Fun of the Game. Also, I had all the announced (not the distant Future) Game content in the Game and was able to test and do so without any Problems. There are Manufacturers who would have spent such a Game as Finished and submitted everything with Patches and DLC's. We're talking about an Early Access Game, so what doesn't have to have 100 + Hours of Game content at this Time. The current Content lasts for the same 10 Hours, of course you can play through it even faster, or at the End turn it into a Kind of Endless Game to simply explore Valcanoids. I like the Basic Idea of Valcanoids, it's just a lot of Fun to control your own Drill and build it out. Even the Quest's are simple and easy to understand. I cannot complain about The Great negative about Valcanoids at this Time, as there were no serious Technical Problems away from me. I always test the Games on a (Windows 10 – i7 6700k – 32Gb RAM – 1080Ti – 3840 x 2160) Calculator and had consistently on Ultra 60 FPS ALTHOUGH the 60 FPS are limited by my 55 Inch Samsung TV. Can I make a Buy recommendation? Yes with good reason, anyone who likes simulation in this Area, this is justified for this Price. I mean you get for the current Prize not only the earlier Access to Volcanoids, but also then the Finished game, plus you can experience all the Ups and Downs in the Game. Of Course I would have a List here with what could be done better, but for that I can go to the Discord with them and express my Opinion. Since we have a Community open developer team here.
