Waking the Glares - Chapters I and II
About
Dawnfall is a lost wanderer who travels in a fragmented universe where time and space are twisted. There is a mysterious voice that guides him in a journey that will bring him to fabulous places, meeting challenges that he never thought he could face and that will allow him to find the way back home.
Dawnfall’s life has been messed up by a book. He doesn’t know why but somewhere in that book he will find answers to all his questions.
Waking the Glares is a great journey, an exploration-based game that will require the player to pay attention to the environment from a visual and acoustic point of view.
With this release the player will get the first two chapters of Waking the Glares. The complete adventure is intended to be made of seven different chapters and their release will depend on the first release success.
But please note that every single chapter tells a story on its own, just, there’s a thread passing through all the chapters. In game terms, this means that every single chapter is set in a different location with a slightly different gameplay.
The story revolves around a book that has messed up Dawnfall’s life. To “Wake” the “Glares” means to look for answers, to discover secrets and to find out why this book is so important. This book is real and together with Waking the Glares the player will get its ebook version and so the opportunity to live a deeper experience.

Greetings to all Steam users who will read this review.
I played several hours for this title in the Beta stage, and finally I made a complete run also of the official version.
Despite Having replayed it, I felt the same emotions as the first time.
The World of Waking The Glares is pleasantly immersive: The mystery that envelops the main joints of the gloomy plot, is never frustrating, but addictive.
What made me fall in love with this game (which I remember: it lasts a couple of hours but it is at the moment only of the first two chapters), it is the soul that owns and that the development team has been able to harness in a wonderful way. It is an atypical and courageous product, because quite niche, and for publication format (which is cool to attach the ebook of the book that permeates the whole gaming experience), and for sensitivity, is shown by the care of many details, which required the player To fully understand its importance.
The evocative scenarios, suggestive and at times nostalgic, of some sequences, have led me to an identification that almost elicit emotion (sound carpet, chromatic scale and in general atmosphere of the Intermezzo on the boat).
I Recommend the purchase to all fans of the genre, but also to those who want to approach.
The heart that the kids of the development team have put in this project, will be unequivocally from the first minutes of the game.

The Game I really liked, despite being an Indie production and have some technical limits I have to say that playing it I realized that the game has its own "soul". Waking The Glares tells a mysterious story, you find yourself catapulted into the settings that have nothing in common apparently, but a narrator accompanies you along the journey, quoting excerpts from a book, Waking the Glares precisely, that you They help you understand that there is a common thread in the various chapters of the game. The game experience is not very long, just a few hours, but this first release of the game contains only the first 2 chapters plus one intermezzo, of the 7 totals of the entire experience thought by the developers, and also the price is actually adequate to this. The puzzles within the game are not difficult, sometimes they are more schematic, others more imaginative but always reasoned, in the game all that must be done is always the result of a logic well-defined, never left to chance.
Along with the game comes as free DLC the book Waking the Glares in ebook format, which I have not yet read, but that should precisely contain the story that the protagonist follows and from which the narrator takes the extracts of the game.
I recommend it especially to fans of the genre, and anyone who wants to face an experience that can carry in a dreamlike world, deep and melancholy.
