Warstone TD
About
A fearsome Chieftain is gathering an army, intent on the subjugation of the realm. The Villagers cry out for a hero! Someone to rise up and rescue them from their plight. This burden falls to you. Build a city, train an army, and equip your subjects. Seek out the assistance of helpful allies, such as dwarves, amazons, and sorceresses. With allies to help, and an army of your own, you can defeat the invading army and make the realm safe again!Features
GameplayUnlike regular Tower Defense games, Warstone TD has a unique method of summoning defenders (towers). You start with a fairly empty map and a few stones where you can place defenders. As the level progresses, more stones appear and some even drop from enemies, allowing you to place them in any valid position on the map. Powerful Warstones also appear occasionally which give significant bonuses to defenders standing on them. You can summon any of the 5 basic defenders on the stones: Peasant, Archer, Rifleman, Sorceress, and Elemental. Each basic defender has its own upgrade path, damage type, gold cost, and special abilities!
Warstone TD also has 2 extra base units only available for use in attack/defense missions, the Eagle and the Wolf. Each have branching upgrade paths, like the basic defenders. With such a variety of defenders and game classes there is a huge amount of tactics in PvP battles, increasing replayability even further!
There are 30 story missions and each mission has 3 modes: Campaign, Challenge, and Survival. The player can choose the difficulty of each mission from 4 settings: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. Each mode has a unique achievement which gives a star when completed, the color of the star corresponds to the difficulty of the mission: gold for Nightmare, silver for Hard, and bronze for Normal. Levels have a lot of possible solutions but, with so many combinations, you're going to need to perfect your strategy to master them. And just in case you forget how awesome you are, there's an online leaderboard, which tracks your score, both in Campaign mode and PvP. Compete with your friends, or enemies!
Class systemAfter you progress through the first 4 missions in the campaign, you are able to choose a class to augment your abilites in battle. The classes are non-linear, you can pick and choose skills from any class, but you have to focus on a class if you want to get the most powerful skills.
- 7 basic units, with a further 15 available as upgrades!
- Intriguing story with beautifully drawn artwork.
- 3 Vastly different Classes for you to choose from: Warlord, Sorcerer, and Treasurer. Over 70 different skills in all!
- Diverse array of spells: Firewall, Lightning, Meteor Shower, Titan's Fist, Summon Elemental, Poisonous Cloud, Transmutation, and more! Only 4 spells can be brought into battle though, so choose wisely!
- Multiple different game modes: Classic, Challenge, Survival, Maze, Hero Defense, Attack/Defend (Also used in PvP,) and Co-op missions throughout the campaign.
- Upgrade Defenders in the workshop! Multiple upgrades with several tiers for each defender. More upgrades become available as you build and improve your town.

- The Mighty Warlord greatly increases the effectiveness of your army! He improves the power and abilities of your defenders, can unleash the power of stone to help in battle; allowing placement of stones to slow nearby enemies, or give you a surge of mana and gold. He also has skills which allow your defenders to level up in battle, becoming more powerful with each successive rank.
- The Cunning Treasurer's weapon is gold! He is a master of item storage, able to fit an improbably large number of items into his backpack, and find many more scrolls and even potions during battles. Everything he does is for gold! He is able to increase bounty for enemies killed, make his own defenders cheaper, and eventually can even get a powerful spell that allows you to transmute an enemy into pure gold! With all of these abilities, the Treasurer can field a much bigger army than any other class.
- The Powerful Sorcerer is able to complete levels using only spells! He can bring up to eight spells into battle, increasing flexibilty greatly. His skills revolve around buffing spell effectiveness, regenerating mana, unlocking more powerful spells, and he can even transform units into mana. Among the spells the sorcerer can unlock are: Summon Elemental, Reduction; which shrinks and debuffs monsters, Meteor Shower, and Teleportation; which allows you to teleport defenders to any available stone on the map.

June 5, 2018: The Game has since left the Early Access and there have been some server issues due to the Multitude of new Players. The Developers now want to make a Version that you can also play offline.
The Rest of the Review is still from the EA phase and will be revised by me after I have played it in more detail.
It is not currently possible to play the Game offline because it requires a Server Connection.
The Towers can only be placed on Stones, which can be placed freely on many Maps. Some can also influence the Path of the Opponents.
It is very good that the Missions and Challenges are varied.
In order to upgrade his Troops, grinning must also be made.
Versions played: 0.93-1.00 Shortly: Technically stable, no Crashes Beautiful graphics There Is a Fast forward, but no Rewind No Adjustable Target priorities stars are not Skill points as in KR, but per Level climb the Player receives a Skill point There is Different Ways to skilli, a reskillen is free. For some particular Challenges, you have to adapt.
The degree of Challenge fluctuates, therefore even grinding is needed 4 selectable difficulty levels for each Mission Maps are varied opponents are good For most maps there are still 1 or 2 special Challenges with which you Can use stars and Bonus resources You can get a small Town where you can unlock new Buildings and Unit Improvements with the saved Rewards.
Resoucentip: Mithril is very scarce and the only Resource that cannot be read directly. The Exchange Is not cheap, so it does not expy lightly.
Multiplayer There are multiplayer possibilities (PvP and Coop) similar to Sol Survivor. For Coop, people are mostly Found, but with PvP, less often. This is probably also due to the Fact that in order to have a real Chance in the PvP ne, a lot of grinning has to be done beforehand.
Preliminary Conclusion Power Already Fun. The Developers are present in the Forum and deal not only with the Expansion, but also with the remaining Bumps and Quirks.

Product received for free Early Access Review Vorab, you can feel that the Game is still in beta stage, it just doesn't seem quite round on some corners yet, yet it runs stable and after now 10 Missions I was able to get a good Impression of it.
Story you don't really Need in a TD, yet a quick Note on it, I find the 3 Developers have made an Effort and spoils a bit Of humor To bring to the Matter, with Comics and Chats telling you the old Greis what to do next , you build your small Town slowly and whenever you wonder why something is like it (humouringly) explains how, for example, why sniper dwarfs don't shoot at Flight Units;)
Gameplay Classic TD AS you know it, who knows Kingdom Rush will find their way around right away, with no Hero here to freely ascertain. Nevertheless, a few Bars that have struck me positively: There are several Modes, one in which You play only one unit (don't want to give too much away here) and a Kind of TD War mode in which you both send Units and defend yourself! You know That from TD Mod maps by Starcraft and Warcraft, but in an indie title I haven't seen that yet, well like that! Great Idea!
In the first Moment it seems like any 0815 TD where a Skillbaum is added as well as Additional Challenges for the Missions played-just like in Kingdom Rush, but then it plays differently, there are artifacts added, unit upgrades are Ggame-changing and need to be released slowly, the Units can collect XP after the TechTree upgrade and get stronger-it is gaining more and deep and making you curious!
Graphic Similar to the Other Titles of the developers left in comic look (I think Sometimes Cellshading) with little detail, probably a special Style but with me it looks a bit clunky in 4k and could probably run on the Mobile phone-I hope here comes more Detail hi Nzu.
Playing fun I find it motivating to get the unit upgrades and see how my City develops, but as the game progresses, the Rounds get longer and longer as there is no game speed button that sometimes drags on a bit.
Conclusion: Pro: Balanced TD with interesting new Elements Coop and PVP Mode slowly increasing difficulty level of pleasantly demands nice loose story which Explains the Action and preceding the Con: Missing game speed setting Graphics still a bit clunky
If You liked Kingodm Rush, you'll have fun here, I'll definitely take a closer look at it;)
