YUGA - PC
About
Yuga
Cards in YUGA are “aspects.” The goal of YUGA is to control a set of aspects or by INFLUENCE POINTS:
1 Aspect Stage 5
3 Aspects Stage 4+, with different names
4 Aspects Stage 3+, +, with different names
5 Aspects Stage 2+
7 Aspects Stage 1
A player must have at least 1 Aspect at the NEXUS to win with any set. In the case of Lv5+, this means the Lv5 aspect must be at the NEXUS to win with it alone.
------------------------------------------------------------
EMPTY: If there are no more aspects in any players hand or aspect pool, the game ends. The player with the most INFLUENCE POINTS aligned with the NEXUS wins. Stage 0 aspects are excluded.
DOMINION: If there are no unoccupied spaces, the game ends. The player with the most INFLUENCE POINTS aligned with the NEXUS wins. (Even if aspects are still available to be drawn or played) Stage 0 aspects are also excluded.
GAME PLAY
- Each player draws 5 aspects from the/their available aspect pool. (A single shared, and/or separate individual decks per player, can be used as the aspect pool)
- Players roll dice to decide who goes first.
- The starting player places an aspect at the CENTER of the board, this is the NEXUS; each aspect placed after the NEXUS must be “touching” another aspect from any direction. Up, down, left, right, and/or diagonally; or, overlaying the nexus, that card becomes the new nexus.
- Each player can place an aspect or choose to “sift” an aspect by discarding it to the “sift” pool.
- When a player places or discards an aspect, that player MUST draw a new card. FIRST drawing from the sift pool, THEN the aspect pool. (IF THERE ARE CARDS IN THE SIFT POOL THEY ARE DRAWN FIRST)
- Players must have enough INFLUENCE POINTS from its aspects to place a new one.
- There are two ways to place an aspect:
- 1. Place ONE Stage 0 or 1 Aspect in an unoccupied space.
- You may place as many Stage 0 aspects as desired during the turn. (The player still draws after placing that aspect)
- 2. Place an Aspect overtop of another that is 1 stage higher or lower than it, this is a SHIFT up/down. Only the top aspect is active, anything under an aspect is out of play
- 1. Place ONE Stage 0 or 1 Aspect in an unoccupied space.
INFLUENCE POOL – The acquired “influence points” from all a player’s-controlled aspects.
INFLUENCE REQUIREMENT – The total requirement of all aspect the player controls.
Example: “Shinatoki” provides 1 Order influence point and has no requirement, Each “Contra” provides 2 Entropy influence points and require 1 Entropy point to have been placed.
The INFLUENCE POOL for this player is 1 ORDER and 4 ENTROPY points.
