Is stealth in Far Cry 5 really worse than in previous Far Cries?

Comment from Bambei
Am I the only one to notice that Far Cry 5 forces you to launch a frontal attack instead of hiding and killing enemies silently? I mean, in Far Cry 3 I could liberate outposts only with rocks and a knife. Here my every movement is detected so I have to start fire. AI is also too slow sometimes that doesn’t help. Does anyone else feel this change? Please share your experience in comments - maybe, you have such problems too?

I’ve only played Far Cry 4 and stealth there is perfect - you can go almost through the entire game silently. But the new game doesn’t give you this opportunity, stealth isn’t done right here. Almost all my tries to go stealth were ruined and I feel totally upset about it.

Well, maybe it was your actions what went wrong. Because all the tools to be a ninja are here. Try using only silent weapons - bows, knives and so on. As for me, I frequently threw rocks to distract enemies and that worked perfectly. The same story with going after groups of enemies and death from above - everything is OK, really. So it’s up to you how to play - stealth is still an option.

Yes, I agree - even suppressed weapons here make a sound like you blew up something at the outpost. I remember the times in Far Cry 4 when I could snipe everyone silently... But now a gun for hire at least can help you to survive - better than nothing, I guess. And if you have problems with outposts, try shooting it from a tactical helicopter - it’s simple and funny.

Is this what it feels like to be a Dark Souls boss? Or just me playing The Witcher game. Keep rolling!
