If you like a bunch of text in front of your face with horrible framerate and confusion this game is for you. Was given a key to stream this, first impressions were too poor to support this game.

Early Access Review Hello, in advance: I can understand anyone who is tearing up the Game. I was no different, but the Reasons for this are not so much the Game itself as everything that has gone in front; But more on that later.
Atlas is said to be an MMO in the Age of Sail setting. Basically a Game I personally had to wait forever for. Naval Action promised a lot, but really what didn't come of it.
Atlas is like Ark. One of the biggest Criticisms here. It's based on the Engine and the Mechanics yes. The Assets were revised and then taken over. But it's not an Ark! The Similarities are striking, of course. It's more like a Prefab House. The Ingredients are like those of the Neighbor and yet it's a different House. Now the Question is: What's so bad about it? Ark is quite successful and with good Reason. Why take as not an Ark-based principle and Game because already present, and expand it?
The Game itself offers a lot. In Principle, at the moment, much of What Ark can do today and more beyond. Skillrooms for characterful Indŵalization, even the Ships level and can thus be individualized. A Concept that I found strange, but is quite a pleasant Solution.
As befits the Setting, Wind plays a crucial Role. Crossing and changing course more often is just as much a part of it as joy when the Wind is right. Which brings us to the Point: Card Size. At this Moment, the Argument leads Atlas is Ark 2.0 ad absurdum. In Part, one wishes it were that way, but then again: Just not. The Map is huge! Almost gigantic. It takes more than a few Minutes to cross a Quadrant. At least on a Raft.
Which brings us to the Launch zones. Against Ark and other Survival games-except Conan Exiles-there are starting zones in Atlas. In these zones, nothing can be built, only resources can be collected and supplies increased and a Fin acquired. Then it's called out high and you're looking for an Island where you're setting up, building houses, running Farms, building a Shipyard, etc.
For all those Who do not know survival games or are not necessarily familiar with the Principle, Atlas is a slightly tougher Nut. There is no Tutorial!
To the Game: I enjoy it! Yes, I also really enjoyed Playing Ark. Atlas is already more than Ark.
To the Rest: As it says today so beautifully: EPIC FAIL!!! This launch had simply sprung from Hell. Were Grapeshot in New York, the Developers would have waded out of windows in Turn.
The Hype in advance was controlled, the ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ torm after the Delays, no more. PR and Marketing, I mean in Hand from Reverb Games Inc., a real Disaster. The Game is delivered to Streamers in advance. Streamers who, if this is not as simple AN FPS as possible, were completely overwhelmed with the Game. I have to confess that had Entertainment value. The first German, who was allowed towards the End, was PietSmiet. From a Communication point of view, this was rarely stupid.
The Waves actually smoothed through the first Statement from #Jatheish and the communication that followed was made and continued. It's still a long way from being communicated really well, but it's By lengths better than before.
The Safezones were a real Problem. If you could log in, it was impossible to move in the Starter zones. The Lag Stemmed from the fact that everyone logged out right away and the Server simply could no longer carry the Load. The Reason for this was a Design Flaw in the Game. Whoever logged out was left asleep in the Game. This has since been fixed and anyone who logs out leaves the Server with the Character. Additional Launch zones have also been declared. But Whoever dies in the Starting Zones loses al's Loot. A small Price compared to what has been going on in the last Few days.
In the meantime, Grapeshot is trying to make everything the Servers run stable and at least the EU PvE seems to be quite stable. Only annoying that with every update the Wind Direction had to turn and I was rummaging out there forever until I could reach land.
Verdict: Is the Game bad? No! Did the Developers build Crap? YES, Bockmist! But they iron it out. Are the negative Reviews justified? Yes. When it comes to making it clear that the Behaviour of the companies involved last Week should be presented and clearly pointed out.
Finally: I have Ark, then why Atlas? Because it's not an ARK! It's based on the Game, uses a lot of the Mechanics and Assets, but it's not an Ark. Even if it looks like this on the optical.
Is it recommended? The Game is it, yes. Further Development will show whether it will remain so.
Greetings Earthlings I
