This game skillfully combines the arcade gameplay of the older «GTA» titles with the realism introduced in «GTA IV». The game offers a unique experience that appeals to both long-time fans of the series and new players alike.
One of the standout features of «GTA V» is the inclusion of three protagonists, each representing different eras and styles of the series:
Trevor Phillips — the embodiment of the spirit of the older «GTA» titles, where chaos, absurdity, and madness reigned supreme. His erratic actions and dark humor evoke memories of games like «GTA» and «GTA II» when gameplay was carefree and audacious.
Michael De Santa — a classic protagonist in the style of «GTA: Vice City». His story about wealth, family struggles, and the search for meaning fits the framework of a crime drama, adding depth and cinematic flair to the game.
Franklin Clinton — a symbol of the ghetto and street culture, reminiscent of the iconic «GTA: San Andreas». His storyline about striving for survival and achieving more than just being the gang member captivates with its sincerity.
In addition to its engaging plot and well-developed characters, the game offers a variety of opportunities. One of the key mechanics is the ability to run businesses and generate passive income. Whether it’s purchasing bars, taxi companies, or cinemas — every investment brings profit, letting players feel like real capitalists.
«GTA V» also expertly balances arcade gameplay with realism. This is evident in the refined vehicle handling, shooting mechanics, and interaction with the world, which even includes animals. All of this makes the game accessible to a wide audience while retaining the series’ signature atmosphere.
This is essentially three games in one. Each pays homage to different aspects of the series’ history, while uniting them into a single, thrilling story reminiscent of 90s American action movies.

Still going for a reason.
The cleanest GTA gameplay yet, three playable characters and tons of multiplayer content.
Peak GTA.

The game is good, but not perfect. The world is vast and interesting, but too scripted (in particular, constantly recurring "random events"). The plot is not without flaws either. The plot is excellent and at first it seems that everything is great, but then you realize that there is a lot not implemented in this game. For example, Franklin has not been given due attention. You are given only one mission "a la San Andreas", and then they flush his line down the toilet. Trevor is good, but his line quickly slides down as soon as he arrives in town. Michael has a single sustained line, but very standard and cliched.
The robberies are surprising at first, but by the 3rd robbery they start to get boring.
Overall a cult game, but with a lot of hidden problems.
«Better with friends»
Finally got to to play this game. I get why people contest this with GTA IV for the best gta game. But frankly both are entirely on different spectrums. GTA IV is more grounded and lets you connect with the protagonist more. In GTA V, its all about over the top scenarios and high octane action sequences.
GTA V is much larger with a densely packed Los Santos with a ton of stuff to do.
Loved this game
