Rogue Legacy review

It really doesn't give you enough movement to dodge all the things coming at you

A fun time for the first couple runs. Enemies become overwhelming for the limited toolset you're given
Meh I’m not liking it to start. I don’t like the feel of combat and the roguelite elements haven’t really been that great either to start. Is the best opening strategy just to avoid the enemies? Is that why I’m not enjoying it? Because I’m trying to clear out the enemies in each room. I don’t see any benefit from killing enemies.

I gave it a decent attempt but I’m not enjoying it. I don’t like the gameplay and I’m not getting enough coins to make progress. There is barely are any roguelite elements, I’m not making a new build each run, and I’m not progressing future runs.

I still want to give rogue legacy 2 a try. The concept of RL isn’t the problem.

If I had to describe Rogue Legacy in one Word, it would be "Dying." Because that's exactly what you do pretty much most Of the Time in the game because suddenly there was still a Monster there, you couldn't dodge a Fireball anymore, or because the first Final Boss is still too tough after more than 10 Hours Of play. But: I'm not mecker! Because just as often (well, say half-or-rather quarter-so-often) you then have a Lucky Streak and open one Chest at a time and shed the Monsters exactly as you should. This makes you feel So lucky that you almost certainly don't mind if you go before the Dogs. So Our Character is dead. There is nothing left but to choose one of his Descendants as Heir and to invest the Gold that the Predecessor earned in our Estate. For example, we can increase our Strength by one Level or unlock the "Miner" Cater, which is then available to future Generations of heroes. But We can also unlock new Weapons or Armor If we have previously found the necessary Blueprints. When our Preparations have come to an end, it goes back to Carnage. The Hero we control this time, however, is mostly different from The Foregoing. So this one can have a different Class (E.g. Paladin, Hokage or Lich), have a different spell or (and now it's going to be funny) have a different Innate weakness or strength! Sir Useless III, for Example, Suffers from Dwarfism. This makes it more tiny than others and just doesn't come up in some Places. For this, however, it is smaller and therefore more difficult to Meet. Sometimes, however, the weakness/. Strength can also be just funny in Nature. Heroes can suffer from Bloating or Tourette's syndrome, causing them to curse when hit by Enemies. But It gets a Lot of Trouble with Rogue Legacy, a Guy who always lets our newest Hero into the Dungeon when we give him all our Gold. That means saving is not. Everything has to be saved directly with a Hero before biting into the Grass. So If we Manage TO accumulate about 2500 Gold with Sir Useless III before he dies (because dying he does anyway, as he cannot leave the Dungeon again), we should think carefully about what Improvements we buy from our Money, because the Rest will be lost if we do our Hunt start anew. This makes for an enormously high Addictive Factor, because you always say to yourself, "I could have done that yet." And already the next Hero is chosen and it starts again. Conclusion: The partly black Humor, the constantly new Dungeons and the new Challenges, as well as the constantly new Heroes and the approaches that go with them ensure That you can't "put Rogue Legacy out of your hand" so quickly. It has very high Replay Value and is hugely addictive. I can just recommend it further, because Rogue Legacy is a Game you must have played. With that In mind: Forget Darksoul, Rogue Legacy is even tougher. :D My Rating: 92%-Ray Appendix Did you like the Review or you are simply Interested in Writing reviews, then please support our Group GermanReviews, which is still under Construction
