SteamWorld Heist review
Exceptional
by Admiral_Ant

This one's a true gem. A beautiful and balanced mix of roguelite and more traditional turn-based RPG spiced up with a very tasteful and distinct if not unique art style, characters with a fair share of personality and a really fitting soundtrack. It's got steampunk, it's got robots and it's got space pirates - what else could one possible wish for?

I am incredibly intrigued that the Creators of SteamWorld Dig have taken a completely different Game concept with the "Successor"-creating the same addiction as with Dig. Just horny! Heist is virtually the 2D-XCOM for all turn-based action RPG fans of this Time. With the same graphical Attention To Detail, it goes from Mission to mission To various Spaceships and Bases, whose Spaces are always randomly generated and revealed as the Mission progresses. The Fighting Takes place in the already uncovered rooms-so it is worth placing all crew members in front of the Rooms before moving further and triggering more Enemies. In Addition, there is an alert level countdown system, which causes further Difficulties in many Missions at 0 (new Enemies, activated Guns, etc.). Add to That an eerily well-functioning combat System with purchasing, finding and equipment new weapons or active and passive effect equipment, a Lot of recruitable crew members and different Enemies. In the Combat System, the Developers have come up with many Subtleties, so that some weapons can punch through obstacles, bounce bullets on Walls, some Creaks have a Target Help line (Sniper), some may be fired 2x, some only before Moving the Character, some Abilities give Bonuses when you shoot straight out of the first Turn, some let the Figure shoot again when an Enemy has been done, some Enemies are protected by Shields, some by Shield-generating Bullets, there are Final Bosses and and and and and and The Inventiveness and Genius Of each idea, as well as the impeccable playability, comfort us by the fact that we have funny dialogues here and there, but not really a Story. The Game lives simply through its great art and Gameplay Design ... ... And must be drawn by DIR! Buy!!!

I played steamworld dig on my 3ds and I tought I'd give this game a shot because I heard the controls on 3ds were wonkey. After that I played steamword dig2 on my switch, never tought the games would connect how it did I haven't had this much fun in ages! Even just standing in one of the bars and listening to the music of Steam Powered Giraffe is great! Definetly reccomend it to everybody

If you really want to test your strategic skills and enjoy turn-based games, this game is for you. Seven euros may seem like a lot but in reality it is worth all of them; moreover, this initial spending method is better than free to find a game built to induce you to buy. This game really tests player reasoning skills and allows you to progress without any kind of purchase. Warmly recommended!

A visit to the cinema with the family costs 50 euros for almost 1.5 hours of film. As a casual player, I spent almost 20 hours playing the game on my phone. An IPad is recommended, as it gives a better overview of trick shots. I did not manage that well with my cell phone. I would give a point deduction because of a lack of explanation of the trick-shots (maybe that is unjustified and I just too bld, which is why I do without a deduction). Great setting, funny idea, character binding: Please more of such games!

Strategy platform 2d must-have game. A fascinating story, introducing a new and varied universe mixing post-apo / steampunk / space. The art is quite sublime ranging from drawing the soundtrack (the details of the characters, music in bars, in space, during missions, etc.). From the gameplay side, it's simple, it's clear, it's effective; nothing to repeat. Only, several things are noticed in steam world heist: Its longevity (around 15-20h if you do not rushez the game) is too short. His characters are different, yes, but for me, not enough. The smallness of the inventory (the game will force you to limit in equipment). But it does not prevent that steam world heist remains a very good game I have long hesitated and the comments made me want to play, and that's when I understood the true potential of the game. Frankly, if you are perplexed, do not hesitate, go for it!
