Disco Elysium: Final Cut review
by wuijle

For myself, one of the best games of all time.

Every aspect of the game is carefully thought out, articulated, and presented from the developers. Characters have actual meaning and stories behind them, the world and environment are beautifully designed, the overall art style is exceptional, choices matter to a tee and present a whole host of dilemmas, Kim is easily the best sidekick character in any game ever, and much, much more I can go on and on about.

Also with the final cut of Disco Elysium, there's also little to no flaws with the game. Voice overs add a huge plus to the overall story and atmosphere, while making it easier to digest the story and dialogue in the game.

It goes without saying, but if you haven't played Disco Elysium then I would not hesitate to buy it.

Simply one of the best games ever made. The writing and world design is so rich and deep, and all the characters have so much FLAVOUR. The game's skill trees (!) have more interesting personalities than 90% of actual video game characters. Disco Elysium is by turns melancholic, horrifying, hilarious, uplifting, cathartic and soul-destroying. I've never really experienced anything quite like it. If I could only ever recommend a single game for the rest of my life, this would be it.

Once every several years appears a game that changes industry forever. When you play Witcher 3, Fallout 3 or Baldur's gates for the first time, you know it changes everything. Disco Elysium is one of these games. If you are a fan of great storytelling, you must play it. If you are not, become one. Period.
