Catchy music, attractive visual design, and classic gameplay with a mildly interesting story. Postgame content is mediocre.

Journal Style Review:
Beat the first 4 stages and I’m not liking it much so far. I don’t like the feel of combat. I find it difficult to tell what row people are in.
I don’t like this game. There really isn’t anything I can think of that I like about it. I beat 11/12 stages and tried to beat the final stage for an hour or so before realizing I’m not having fun and I have little desire to keep playing. I’m done. This is an example of a gamepass swing and a miss for me.
Final Score: B-

Better with a friend. This game captures the best bits of the brawler genre with beautiful hand drawn art. Loved it!

«OST on repeat»
Suffers from the same issue of many sidescrolling beat em-ups, namely the utter broken and useless vertical movement that will quickly turn every fight in a frustrating experience.
No amount of beautiful pixel graphics can excuse such basic mechanic flaw.
