F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin review

This game is a disappointment compared the first one. The gameplay is not as clean. The first had a tough but fair feel that made me feel really cool when I managed to beat a tough section. This has moments that are like that, but overall the difficult sections were more annoying than tough. The horror is worse, and the horror in the first was already weak. I found myself thinking Alma is a dick, not that she was scary.
-Superior fps mechanics
-Engaging story with a nice twist
-Well made environment

I felt that the game is more about "action" than "horror"

F.E.A.R. 2-Project Origin (v1.05) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=545958401 POSITIVES + German Language Output + sometimes very creepy and good Shock Moments, especially when Alma performs + atmospheric Soundtracks and dense Soundscape + partly destructible environment (see but Also under Negatives) + tables can be retoachable, which can then be used as better cover (which is unfortunately completely useless, as there are always enough Coverage options) + Water Splashes on the Screen if you can By Water Puddles runs + many Coverage options + opponent AI successfully seeks Cover or creates which + opponent AI also throws grenades and also retreats from own thrown Grenades + enemy snipers relocate their Position + Slow Motion effect, which you have to use later and also needs + Power-Armor like a Mech Itself controllable (in two Places in the Game) + Hammerhead Bolt-firing device with which you can nail opponents on Walls + Plasma Gun spill Enemies up to the Skeleton + 14 sometimes long Chapter so that a pretty decent Playing Time for a Shooter Comes together (but played half but offline) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=545963764 NEGATIVES-rather moderate To bad Speakers who sound rather unhorrified (E.g. Sgt. Stokes)-Horror Moments unfortunately fall a little short in some Sections-Depictions of violence cut in Contrast to the US version (too little Blood and no Abortable Limbs)-Hose levels with little Deviation, which is no longer up-to-date today and Rather tiresome seems-rather mediocre shooter with often the same opponents-all in total too little Variety-shot tracks disappear after some Time back on Armoured glass Discs, as Well as Bullet holes in the Walls-Hints only in Text form instead of audiology and The former are also still totally boring and tear completely out of the Feeling of play, so at some point I preferred to read it only rarely-Running looks affient when the Gun Twitters back and forth in the field of View-on "normal" Difficulty level too easy ( Only towards the end does the Degree of Difficulty increase) Http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=548114518 FAZIT At the Beginning I was still rather sceptical about F.E.A.R. 2, although I found the first Part of 2005 terrific at that time, the local Successor was really over Half a Decade with me untouched around. Now, over six Years later, I didn't even find the Game so bad and the Graphics still handsome. The Girl Alma has become a Woman in F.E.A.R. 2, but she does not approach the Size of her childhood Days, because the Intensity of the Predecessor is not reached. Still, the second Part is still a good Game. If you are interested in further Reviews of me, follow my Group.
