Marc Laidlaw is a games writer who started the games industry career in 1998. Since then, Laidlaw has been working with Crowbar Collective, Valve Software, and NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios. Laidlaw's first published game was Half-Life released in 1998. Then, Marc Laidlaw went on to work on Half-Life: Source as the writer. Later, Laidlaw also was part of the team who developed Half-Life 2 published by Valve for PC, Android, macOS, and Linux. Most lately, Marc Laidlaw worked on Black Mesa.
