Product received for free Early Access Review KRAAAAAKEEEEEEN!!!
Ahoi, you Sprat!
Abandon Ship Is about more than just jumping off the blade To the Fat Klabautermann. Yarr! Cultists, Octopuses and other Coarse Toys are hot on your Heels, my Boy. You better keep your Clings on the Horizon! Arr! Because once your Ship sinks, you visit the old Davy Jones ' Chest, for the Rest of Eternity.
Yo-Ho-Ho, my Boy! You wear the Time of the Dead Consecrated ... And it's good for you!
Harr! Harr! Harr!
Hust Hust ...
Abandon Ship combines strategic Ship battles and Ship management (similar To FTL) with a rasely twisted Story about Cultists, a gigantic Octopus and other menacing Finsterlings to whom you can explore a semi-free-to-be world as Part of the Main Story Encountered.
The Technique Graphically reminds Abandon Ship of classic naval oil paintings.
Performance is good.
Sound is good.
German Language should probably come ...
Gameplay Outside the Battles, you move your Nutshell from a Bird's Eye view over Procedural-generated map sections connected By "Gates." On each Map section there are Fighter Counters, Raw Materials and many Sea-cave. XD To open the Gate to the next Section of the map, you have to do various Things on the Map.
The Naval Battles are quite classic in the Iso perspective, Ship versus Ship. Here you do not control the Ship itself, but the Crew and, in some uncavitically frantic Battles, have to occupy the cannons, Extinguish fires, repair envelope fractures, keep its Crew alive and pump pouring In water out of the Ship.
Hallelujah, there is a Passing Function!
But also rough Seas, storms, Pack ice and the Octopus ... Yes, THE KRAKT! Life makes life difficult and has an Impact on the Ship.
Should your own Ship sink-God forbid-you can still flee with the Crew on a Lifeboat with luck and hope to be found by anyone before you starve.
If the Lifeboat can no longer be reached, the Captain will continue to Rescue in the Sea for some time before surrendering to the Waves and ...
Your Savegame will be completely deleted. YO-HO-HO!
Conclusion Anyone Who is on Strategy a la FTL and always wanted To be a Pirate, I can already warmly recommend Abandon Ship. I mean, clearly the Game still has some Construction Sites and the Fight that has become repetitive after some Time is a very big one, but I'm good Things.
From me there's an Enterhook up!
If you want to get an honest Impression of Gameplay, Atmosphere and Sound, just Look into my Tapped up: Tacked up: Abandon Ship I wish-as always-a lot of Fun when Zocking! :D
