About

Children of the Nile: Alexandria is an addition to the base Children of the Nile game, adding a new mini-campaign focused on the rise of the city of Alexandria.

Using the unique city-building dynamics of Children of the Nile, you will carve out a new dynasty to rule all of Egypt, and build the greatest city of the ancient world! Each person in your city is a fully developed person, with wants and needs. Tend to their needs and they will work for you so that you can create a powerful empire and a lasting legacy.

In Alexandria, you assume the role of the new Pharaohs of Egypt, in a three-scenario mini-campaign set during and after the final stages of Alexander the Great's career. Consolidate your power as Alexander's former lieutenants vie for control of his empire, all while growing a massive new Egyptian capital and constructing new massive monuments: the Great Lighthouse and Great Library of Alexandria!

Children of the Nile: Alexandria reviews and comments

Product received for free this game is beautiful. It is not very recent but the images are still very beautiful and thanks to the performance of recent computers, one can thus increase the details without having a game that paddles... On the concept side of the game, I love it too. At the beginning, one can be impressed by the number of resources available but in the end, one gets used especially that their operation is quite similar. Unlike other city-builders, the characters are not anonymous: they have a name, evolve in time (child then adult) and in their profession (a villager can become a farmer then a craftsman, or then a merchant of luxury then noble). Here, we choose the location of the buildings but they are not built immediately: it is necessary to wait either that a resident comes to settle there (farmer, servant, merchants) or that a Mason brings the required bricks and then the building. I find that very well. In addition, we can build wonders: pyramid (several sizes are proposed), statues,... even the Grand lighthouse and the library in the extension... I recommend this game to all those who love city-buiders (other than contemporary), which are rare nowadays

With the progress of technologics, they can be increased without problems on speed of game. On the beginning, you could be surprised by the numbers of resources but you get used them fast enough: a lot of these operate of the same way. The characters aren't anonymous: they have got a name, a profession that could progress during their life (a farmer, after an artisan, or a trader/seller after noble). You choose the place of building but you have to wait: or a character goes to construct this (farmer, servor, trader/seller) or a Builder brings the bricks and constructs. Great for me. More, you can construct wonders: pyramids (any sizes), statues,... and the great lighthouse and the great library in extansion. I recommended this game to the person who like city-builders (no modern), uncommon today...
