CURSE
About
CURSE is a point-and-click horror game that throws the player into the world of paranormal investigations. Explore the infamous Atherton Manor, site of several deaths and disappearances over the last 100 years. Your mission is to purge the Manor of its occupants and to get out in one piece.
Think you have what it takes to reveal the secrets hidden in the shadows of Atherton Manor?
Game Features:
What to Expect:
CURSE is a narrative-focused experience. Expect to read lots of notes and dialogue. This game is intended for those who enjoy a fun, spooky, tale that takes time to experience.
Linear Gameplay: CURSE is a linear experience with some light branching that gives players some determination of events. The game is linear at a high level though in order to tell a cohesive story.
Ghost Chase: The ghost chase feature is tense. It's supposed to be tense. The ghosts will arrive at random points within the Manor with the intention of killing you.
Point and Click Navigation: CURSE does NOT allow free movement. We wanted to create an experience more like a theme park ride where we control aspects of what you see and what you don't see. If you give in to this type of storytelling you should have a rollicking good time. If you prefer to actively move through the game space CURSE may not be for you.
Jump Scares: Although the game does not rely on jump scares in order to entertain the player, it does include more than a few.
Horror Elements: The horror of CURSE is geared towards a more PG-13 vibe than R or MA ratings. We strive for atmosphere over gore and graphic violence.
Sound Good?
If the above descriptions interest you then strap in and let's go for a ride!
CURSE provides 2-4 hours of gameplay in most cases. If you wish to collect all the achievements you will need to play it a few times in order to play through the branching elements and optional difficulty settings.

One point and click, on rail, horror type. A very nice scenario, a very good atmosphere, but as this game is "on rail", it is very linear. You go from point A to point B, without having the opportunity to explore the places. There is no riddle to solve, or puzzles to make. Only find keys and notes. There are many times when you have to repel ghosts with the flashlight, but it's far from exciting. The game is complete in 2 hours, has no VF, so I recommend it on sale.

Without being revolutionary, this pretty short game, which is akin to an ultra-dirigiste virtual ride, allows to spend a pleasant moment in places of all beauty. The interactivté is unfortunately a little too restricted, and the cruel lack of intellectual challenge prevents the ability to enjoy this game as it should. Moreover, not an ounce of French: it is necessary to understand English (of an average level), without which no chance to appreciate the whole "background" of curse.
But if you just want to spend a little bit of fun, without a headache or too much stress, all in a dark atmosphere ideal in this Halloween period, this game is the opportunity to follow a little story of ghosts in a mansion in the past mysterious. A game that certainly deserves to be deepened (total freedom of movement to look for the objects and actions to be done, as well as some puzzles to give cerebral spice to the whole), but which remains honorably realized.
If curse is not a must, there is proof that the Studio behind this game is particularly promising and that it is necessary to follow closely its next productions.

So at the Beginning I have to say that I am not a Fan of "Point and Click" games at all and I would also like to mention that I bought the Game in a Bundle. Still it looked quite interesting and I got Fancy testing it, which I did. The Game itself has a really creepy Atmosphere, which was collected by the successful Graphic Style alone, but also by the appropriate Soundtrack. An old Mansion is basically always a good Place for a Horror Game or Movie. In Places, the Game really knows how to convince in Terms Of fear, where many other Horror Games of today can only dream of. The Story behind the Game is not Fresh Meat and relatively often used, but it doesn't bother a bit because it just fits. However, you don't have any real Great Agency in this Game and You get taken by the Hand from start to finish, so you can't get lost or puzzle what to do, whether that's a Pro or Contra, everyone has to decide for yourself. Nevertheless, CURSE is Fun at every Level and knows how to convince as a Horror Game. The only really annoying Minus point I have to forgive is the Speed of the Main Character, because unfortunately it takes a very long time to get ahead of, but who doesn't mind can definitely strike here;)
