English translation see Below Homesick-fantastic Atmosphere, but playfully rather shallow One directly anticipated: Homesick will not please everyone.
On the one hand, the Game with its maximum 4 Hours Of play is very short, on the other hand, hardly anything happens. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but you just have to know what to expect here.
Most of The time is spent exploring a derelict Apartment Complex. You don't have any Clues As to who you are, nor why everything is destroyed.
As is customary with Games of this Kind, photos and Documents are revealing more And more parts of the Story. The Books are not initially read, which changes later in the Game. I only found this interesting, but later I had no Desire to visit all the Rooms again just to read the Books.
Exploration is repeatedly eased by small, light puzzles. These fit well into the Game but were no real Challenge. I really Enjoyed the 4 Hours of Play. But the Game had not been allowed to be any longer, as it would otherwise have become monotonous.
Verdict: Homesick is a graphically fantastically Eye-watching exploration Game that impresses with its Style and Atmosphere. In terms of Terms of style, only a few light Puzzles await you besides exploring the Rooms. I recommend this Game because it is beautifully designed, and makes you curious about the Connections. Because of the small Size I would only buy on Offer.
English translation: Homesick – great, atmosphere but casual gameplay One thing first: Homesick is not a game for everybody.
The game playtime gets to max. 4h, so it's really short. Otherwise there doesn't happen so much in this game. That doesn't mean this is a bad game, but you must know what awaits you here.
Most of the time you are exploring an old housing complex. You don't know who you are and what happened before you woke up. Everything is in ruins.
In games like this, you find pictures and books that tell you the story. The books are unreadable in the beginning, but later you find a way to translate them. This is an interesting clue, but later in the game I got tired of walking back to read the missed books.
During the exploration you will find some easy riddles. They fit great into the game but they were not a challenge for me. The 4h gameplay were absolutely entertaining. I think that length fits well to this game. More would be annoying.
Result: Homesick is an exploration game with wonderful graphic, which impressed me with stile and atmosphere. Most of the gameplay is exploration and some easy riddles. I recommend this game because it's wonderful designed and you want to uncover the story. Because of the short game time I would recommend to buy only when it's on sale.
