Dishonored Definitive Edition

Dishonored Definitive Edition is an immersive sim stealth-action game developed by Arkane Studios.

Plot

Returning from his mission of seeking assistance in combatting the plague that got into the city of Dunwall, the queen's servant Corvo Attano is attacked by the assassins led by Daud who murders the queen and kidnaps her daughter. Corvo is later framed for the murder of Her Majesty but escapes from prison. It is revealed that after six months of his sentence, the tyrannic government was established. He joins the resistance in order to avenge his queen and find her daughter.

Gameplay

The game puts a heavy emphasis on a stealthy mission approach. The players are free to approach quests however they see fit. While free from the main quests, the players return to the game world's hub where they can learn about their next mission, upgrade their equipment or take some side-quests. Every location of the game's world is open-ended and rewards exploration.

There are several RPG elements to the game, as the players are able to upgrade their skills and participate in branching dialogue that will later affect the game's narrative. The player's actions are not rendered good or bad, yet they influence the chaos level after the completion of each mission. Chaos affects the in-game world but does not push the players towards a certain playstyle.
