God-King
About
God-King is a map-making game where the player is a ruler of a newly formed kingdom and must make important decisions on how their society and people will develop and live going forward. Starting with the city centre, the player chooses what locations, workplaces, and districts to build, as in-game months and years tick by and the player gets prompted to make decisions based off event prompts.
God-King has strayed away from the typical civilisation game formula which makes use of a resource management system, in order to allow for a greater focus on intentional placement and a greater sense of freedom of choice in regard to what direction they would like to take their city in. Choice of locations for certain facilities such as villages can greatly impact what and where something can be built, and players must deeply consider their placement of buildings and locations.
This stands as a prototype and is not a complete game.
