Heroes of Might & Magic V: Hammers of Fate reviews and comments

This one of my shortest Rierviews: The Game itself is great. One of the best Rounds based strategy games ever and one of my Favorites of all Time. ALLERDINGS: Steam delivers this Expansion with the 2.01 Patch (sometimes called 2.1 Patch), which was released by Ubisoft only for this Expansion. Unfortunately, the Patch was super buggy. The UI is incomplete, Creatures of Creatures and Heroes don't work, and Items don't work as desired either. Especially the Setitiems: On the one Hand they should give set bonuses and on the other Hand should be taken into the next mission (s)-not with this patch, where they function like any other Artifact and thus become from the Hero on the Way from one Map to the next "Forgetting." It is true that Ubisoft has these (known!) Bugs fixed with the Patch 3.01, but this is ONLY for the 2nd Expansion Tribes of the East. Seriously Steam/Valve: Why the Hell to incorporate a known faulty patch into a Release? Just because it's the last one ever brought out?! (30 Seconds of Research in fan forums would have given You this Information.) Unfortunately, the Game is almost unplayable (compared to the unpatched Version). That's why from me a 2/10-too buggy to play! p.S.: Tribes of the east and Vanilla are still great. However, you can no longer play through the Story in one Go. Damn you Steam!

Heroes of Might & Magic V: Hammers of Fate is the first Expansion of the Main Game, to which I have also written a Review. Since Hammers of Fate needs the Main Game to function, I save myself the Part with the Gameplay, because those who know the Main Game also know the Gameplay. But now to the Question, what has changed? So first of all, it's more of the old, that is, more of the good. For Example, a newly old Faction has been added, namely the Mountain Fortress. With her, we lead Dwarves into battle. Their Factional Capability Are the Runes with which they can briefly improve their Troops in Combat, such as Giving Immaterial Solidarity. (50% Chance the Hit goes next to it) Or a second Attack, of which there are enough. In addition, the Refuge gets new Troops, more on that in a moment. In Addition, there is now the Possibility to have cards generated Randomly. A good Idea in Itself, but I don't know who came up with the Idea of being able to choose the Factions on the Map itself! Who cares about my dear Succubi or Liche now? Funny, but what. After all, a nice Spin. In addition, there are a few new Soundtracks for the Mountain Fortress faction. (The Fighting Music of the Mountain Fortress is great!) There are three new Campaigns, one Refuge, a Mountain Fortress, Logically, and a dungeon campaign. The Campaigns carry on the already exciting Story of the Main Game well. Since I do not want too much Spoilers, I say only so much: Through the Events that have happened to the Queen, she is no longer quite the same and wants to kill all The Demon Worshippers in the Empire. To this end, it has set up new Troops, that of the red Church. Conclusion: I can understand the negative Reviews, not much has changed, but given that you get another 15 Hours of Story and a new Faction, I think that's okay. For 10 Euros it is a fair Price, but 30 Euros bsp. I wouldn't have paid then. Those Who liked HoMM 5 will surely like Hammers of Fate too.
